Cowgirl senior point guard Marquelle Dent continued adding to her storied career today when she reached one more milestone. She became the 23rd Cowgirl to score at least 1000 career points. She is the tenth player to score more than 1000 points under coach Joe Legerski’s watch.

With Dent scoring 1000 career points today she also helped the Cowgirls win a tough contest in Denver 75-64 over the struggling Pioneers. Dent added a double-double to Cowgirls’ effort today. With the ten assists that Dent today she moved into fourth place all-time on the Cowgirls list.

Freshman Marta Gomez finished with 17 points and and seven rebounds. Jordan Kelley had 13 points and five rebounds.

The Cowgirls will be at home on Saturday to take on the Montana Lady Griz. They’ll have a 2:00pm tipoff in the AA.
