Wyoming’s director of sports performance, Zach Duval, will be leaving the Cowboy program for Central Florida. As first reported by Football Scoop, Duval, who’s been with the Cowboys since 2014, will be joining the new coaching staff at UCF. Scott Frost, the new head coach at UCF, was a quarterback at Nebraska while Duval was on staff with the Huskers.

This past spring Duval was named Master Strength and Conditioning coach, the highest honor in his profession. Among the qualifications to be named Master Strength and Conditioning coach, the candidate must have at least 12 years of experience in being a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate or professional ranks.

Duval worked primarily with the football team during his tenure at Wyoming. During his time at Buffalo he helped launch the career of current Oakland Raider Khalil Mack.

Zach Duval tweeted about his departure on Friday, saying the following:

Coach Duval had the right amount of insanity to be a top notch strength coach, and was well liked by his players. On that note, I’ll leave you with this terrific lasting memory of Zach Duval:
