Re: Another Wyoming walk-on
I know that the son of a good friend of mine is trying to walk on this year, Conner Hoopes from SV. He's 6'4" 225 right now. I was lucky enough to have Coach Vigen sit at our table at a recent CJC event in Afton and he was a very cool guy. What's more, when he spoke he talked about having a muc...

Re: Would you redshirt Josh Allen?
I can't help thinking about the last time this situation happened which was very recently. There was the hope that Brett Smith made it through his entire junior season so that Jason Thompson could have another year to lead the team after he was gone. The next thing we know, Brett had declared and Th...

I liked a lot of things there and made it a regular visit. Not now

Re: Spring Game
The first thing I thought of when I saw the numbers for this game was that Josh Allen may be closer to the top job than initially thought. Coffman may indeed have a good year, but it almost feels like there is a bit of a leash now. Any thoughts? I guess ideally is Cam has a great senior campaign and...

Re: Ducks/Pokes score prediction
Gametime predictions. Well, what kind of chance does a quacking disease-bag have against a man who tamed the West. Cowboy and his six-guns against a duck. Plus, the the duck mascot doesn't even wear pants, that's terrible in a stadium full of kids. This was all in fun, hope everybody stays healthy. ...

Re: Air Force Predictions
Well over 100 yards each for Wick and May and one of our receivers, maybe Claiborne, has a big day with run after the catch. Pokes win 28-14.

Vorel's story on Shawn Wick
I liked Wick quite a bit before, but this is good stuff that makes you wanna go get a Wick jersey. http://trib.com/sports/college/wyoming/wyoming-running-back-shaun-wick-uses-doubt-adversity-as-motivation/article_4a6dacf5-17e2-58be-9d7e-18b2d793f6bd.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

Re: 2014 Predictions
Aug. 30 - Montana - W (31-14) - The run game and the defensive line give us a cushion in the second half Sept. 6 - Air Force - W (38-10) - This is the game people start climbing on the Bohl-Weevil bandwagon Sept. 13 - @Oregon - L (42-7) - Hoping for a better showing than my prediction. Sept. 20 - Fl...

Re: Tevis Bartlett Update
I had a story that kind of fits with this. My brother ended up at Southern Cal for medical school and ended up staying a few years after his degree because he got hired quickly. Anyway, he was working one day when none other than Eric Leckner walks in and my brother ends up working on his shoulder. ...

Re: Tevis Bartlett Update
I had always heard that Marcus Harris was only being offered Linebacker gigs coming out of high school but Wyoming was the only one willing to let him be a wide receiver. That worked out pretty darn well. I hope we get him and he joins what is shaping up to be in exciting class.

Re: What's great about cowboy football?
Hello folks :D Been lurking for awhile. Moving to Laramie soon and getting excited about some UW football. Spent four years in the stands at every Texas A&M home game (way before SEC and Manziel madness). Then graduate school had me pulling for Texas Tech and later Oklahoma State. All of these ...

Maybe Hoost Marsh-esque? Loved that guy.OrediggerPoke wrote:Wow, that is tiny. However, I believe Danny Woodhead was about that size coming out of high school and he proved the doubters wrong.Asmodeanreborn wrote:

Re: Beadles donates $750 K to Utah
Thanks for the heads up on guys like Malcolm. He's a prime candidate for who I'm talking about. Came to UW kind of as a last resort from California, lit it up, has had a productive NFL career and donated back. I needed to hear that. Good points on salary as well. Hopefully Tashaun gets some of that ...

Re: Beadles donates $750 K to Utah
I guess I got the impression, perhaps mistakenly, that Tashaun didn't like his time in Laramie or maybe was annoyed with DC. Maybe I'm dead wrong. With guys like Floyd and Wendling I wish I knew if they had been able to donate some back or not. Prosinski is right there at the end of his first contra...

Beadles donates $750 K to Utah
Legerski's son in law right? I'd love Herron or Huff to get that big second contract and do something like this for UW. I get the impression some of these guys really didn't like their time there it was just a necessary stop en route to the NFL. Anybody have any insight on how our NFL alumni feel ab...

3A football pre-season thoughts
I was just wondering if there are any folks from the 3A football ranks that can bounce some things around in a thread like this? It's always more difficult to gauge a team from the outside than somebody who lives in the community so I'd like to hear what fans in Buffalo, Douglas, Torrington, Powell,...

Re: What I hope for this year
Bohl has already had a member of his staff visit every high school in Wyoming before we even get to his first fall camp. Dave was the head coach for five years and nobody ever set foot over in our part of the state during that time. As a spot with divided loyalties (I see a lot of Cowboy, USU, Boise...

Re: UW Picked 4th in the Mountain Division...
Call me an optimist but I think we start the season 3-1 with wins over Montana, Air Force and Florida Atlantic. Hopefully we can put up good showings without getting hurt in Oregon and Michigan before we go beat the hell out of a terrible Hawaii team to put us at 4-2. The season hinges on the next t...

Re: NEW (OLD) HELMET
I love the stripe. I think it was Dimel who got rid of it as a normal gameday decision. I"d be happy with these but I REALLY HOPE we aren't completely ditching the brown helmets with gold stickers. I was skeptical of those but they are my favorite new uniform tweak of the last 20 years.
