Re: kellen overstreet
As a general rule, if you're talented, regardless of where you play or against who you play, you're going to get noticed. That's why you see the select number of guys from tiny colleges make it in the NFL, I'm sure there are a few from tiny high schools. Brett Kiessel from Greybull, Wyoming (certain...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and The Fugly. Game 4.
@Wyoexpat Great post. Every person that coaches knows the TRUE best coaches are those sitting in the stands (the fans.). However I will describe two scenarios to help answer your final question. Team "A" runs two plays off tackle, gaining 4 yards each down. On 3rd and 2 a deep pass is cal...

Attendance vs FAU
What was the final attendance number for the FAU game? It sounded pretty loud on the radio, didn't get a chance to watch so I have no idea what the stands looked like. FAU fans seemed impressed with our crowd on their page, but 15,000 would be huge to them I guess.

Re: God, Allah, whatever... Doesn't actually hate us...
Not sure why we're thanking the FAU offensive coordinator. It wasn't his fault, it was actually the safest play to run other than kneeling down three times and kicking a field goal. The player coughed up the ball, I'd like to think the defense maybe had a little to do with the fumble. I do agree wit...

Re: Some things we've learned about the team today.
Think we will have a better record now for the year than I would have thought after the first two games. Same here. Wasn't expecting such improvement. The blocking and overall fundamentals look great I can tell they are well coached now. I really don't think we improved that much from Weeks 1 &...

Re: Austin Conway
Damn! He's a great get by the Pokes. Maybe Bohl can talk him into playing on the gridiron as well, maybe at QB, we sure could use one.
If not he'll be a special basketball player for Shyatt & Co.

Re: Too many "body bag" games?
Is scheduling two "body bag" games in one season, one too many? To me playing either Oregon or Michigan State in one year would be OK, but BOTH? This is nuts. Look, let's be real here. The potential for big blowouts of the Pokes are great in each game. I'm sick and tired of seeing the boy...

Re: Wyoming AFA Game Thread
Before everybody gets too excited, lets put things in perspective: 1) Last week 17 points offense. This week 17 points: NO OFFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT. 2) Last week 12 points allowed. This week 13 allowed: DEFENSE GOING BACKWARD.  I can't agree with this, The defense didn't go backwards the se...

Re: Wyoming AFA Game Thread
The Pokes survived a terrible quarter and a half and are still in this game. Now to see what Bohl and Company can do with some half time adjustments for offense and pass coverage.

Re: The Laramie Dome
I guess I'll throw my :twocents: in here; forget a dome. I've been to many a Green Bay Packer game where I've frozen my tail off in December and January and loved every second of it. Football is suppose to be played outside in the elements, its a travesty that it's ever been played inside, if you as...

Re: question. ..
Whoever was blocking OL needs to be looked at, That long haired guy got through so many times it's not even funny, Hell one of the times he was holding him with a handful of hair. Needs better push or control they need something on that or Colby is going to be running for his life. By running for h...

Re: Pokes in NFL Preseason Thread
I watched a little bit of the Packers/Titans game. I didn't see Huff play much, but Kory Jones did have an interception and made a couple of tackles for the Packers; he played most of the fourth quarter.

Re: Good teams...
This team struggles against the teams that are more physical than they are (i.e. power run teams). Look at the three losses, Nebraska, Texas State and CSU all three teams dominated the line of scrimmage from the opening kickoff; don't forget about a near loss against New Mexico who is the same type ...

Re: Brett Smith
Lastly, the receiver's coach needs to slather Robert Herron's hands with pine tar, or Stick 'Em, or something that will help him catch a ball that hits both hands. This reminds me of the movie "The Replacements." They had the receiver who couldn't catch a cold and they finally put some &q...

Re: TS GAME THREAD
Holy f-word! What the f-word is going on with the defense!!! Our defense is awful and has been awful. Nothing new there. Special teams also playing poorly, but again, nothing new. The better question is? What is going on with the offense. I think the delay clearly messed with Brett (10/13 before th...

No effing tackling, freaking pathetic defense. Offense is struggling big time, here's the trap game some of us were worried about. oh yeah and our WR can't catch a freaking cold.

Re: No Lonhorn Network broadcast = no stream, right?
I thought the LHN guy said they had a hard break time of 9:30 that they would be leaving the Poke/Bobcat game to go to other scheduled programming, they wouldn't be going back live. But then again I wasn't paying as much attention as I probably should've been at that point.

Isn't that what a normal halftime is? I say screw half-time and just play the game from here on out. It's not like we're that far from halftime anyway, what 8 minutes or so?bokobobcat1919 wrote:TXST beat writer just tweeted that there will only be a 15 minute halftime tonight due to the delay.
