Ragtime,
Hate to disappoint you, but I am neither a Mormon nor a BYU supporter.
Guess my question to you would be is there anything that is factually wrong in my post?

Re: Are you kidding me!
Watched the BYU/Boise State game and agree with some thoughts expressed above. I too saw some questionable actions by BYU players but then I also saw some by Boise State players. I guess there might be some luck involved in winning a game with a hail mary pass. But then again a team has to be close ...

Re: Student section
In regard to the comment relating to moving the upset mom to another seat, the problem then would be that Landmark would be on her ass for not sitting in the seat her ticket says she is supposed to be seated in! The atmosphere in the "Dome of Doom" has been IMHO "going downhill" ...

Three points: (1) Is it really necessary to accuse a previous alcoholic of being hitting the bottle again based on his actions on the sidelines and his post game comments? Boy if sideline antics are a standard for determining alcoholics, guess that coach at Indiana who threw the chair across the cou...

"But that's not the AD's responsibility." Yup! The AD has absolutely no responsibility in seeing to it that a televised basketball game presents a good image of the institution. TV panning around the venue showing a "packed" or "empty" house says a lot about an institut...

"...win and they will come..." Gee some of us have been saying that for several years! However the philosophy that is coming out of the Athletic Department seems to be more slanted toward thinking that "building pretty facilities" will put butts in the seats and greatly improve o...

Re: It was probably best that few people saw this game.
Pretty much agree with everything said in the above comments. Will point out though that we did do pretty well when we had a point guard, who was damn good, who other teams weren't overly concerned about guarding because of his scoring. Anyone remember a point guard named Sean Dent? I notice on the ...

Re: Absolutely Embarrassed
I think maybe that "just wait until next year" has become the standard that the Athletic Department has come to accept. Frankly I would much rather have an AD who is concerned about building competitive programs than building pretty facilities. Do fans come because of facilities or because...

Re: For those of you that attended the Nevada game,
McPeachy, have to agree with you about half-assed upgrades/renovations/new buildings/etc. We do have to give TB kudos even though he has said the stadium upgrade is complete; he still continues working on improving things in the stadium--there have been complaints about the concession/restroom situa...

Other board says Shyatt will not be on the sidelines tonight because of illness. Will make it more difficult for UW to pull off a win.

Re: Are all these bodybag games to pay for a facility or bud
Frankly I am one who believes that if a college/university is going to offer an athletic scholarship to an individual that it should provide adequate facilities for that student athlete to compete in his or her sport. That being said, I do not buy off on the idea that facilities have to be the absol...

I too am an old fart. Weather pretty much determines the distance of walk I will take (enjoyable or not)! Big difference walking two or three blocks in 70 degree, sunny weather and 30 degree (or often far less), windy weather. I gave up being a CJC member some years back (don't remember which year b...

Wow, I can hardly believe it; actually see others above spouting some of what I have been saying for years--i.e, put the product on the floor/field and the fans will come, then the so called necessary improvements, etc. should take place. I would argue, and have for some time, that a winning traditi...

Re: UW VB coach resigns
Kind of amazing how a story grows. If I am not mistaken, initially upon Yerty's resignation we heard that the AD didn't know the reason why she resigned. Although there was some questioning here and on other blogs about whether the resignation might have something to do with NCAA violations all we g...

Couple of comments on above statements: In regards to: (1) "Hell who knows maybe we will get McClain back after Shyatt resigns! :-) LOL" Very, very unlikely to happen even if he were to be offered the job "after Shyatt resigns". Were some really bad feelings created with the way ...
