Re: Craig Bohl: Simply an illusionist?
Folks, we have a very weak football team right now but it is far, far too early to be coming to conclusions about Bohl's ability or inability to recruit to Laramie. We'll have that data in 2-3 years. Please.

Re: Shyatt meeting last night
Seattle: "...Maybe Shyatt and staff have something in their back pocket they can still pull out for a 5th year senior or a somewhat impact JC guy that can come in next year." That would make me feel much better Seattle, personally anyways. I really do trust Shyatt and I do think he is very...

Re: Shyatt meeting last night
It is clear Barnes is stronger defensively than offensively. I'm hopeful for him. Time will tell. We'll need to see if he can adjust to the speed of D1 bball, stay out foul trouble, etc. But Glaze would've been a good get for us--battle-tested, senior, been there, etc. I'm afraid he's one we needed....

Re: Shyatt meeting last night
Hey Seattle, I was mostly thinking about Glaze and Boucher ... realize the latter was a reach, but Glaze? Immediately eligible, brought some height and weight, and is exactly what we do not have next year--an experienced big man who can grab rebounds, play some d. Thought he could have smoothed the ...

Re: Shyatt meeting last night
First, from other interactions, I agree wholeheartedly with you about Shyatt, who is not just a coach but is a leader of young men and someone who genuinely cares about his athletes and sincerely believes in doing it the right way. But at the meeting, did he address concerns about our front line for...

Re: Next year's starting 5
I too am hearing from sources that Barnes is just really, really raw offensively and ideally would redshirt next year. Loads of potential, and obviously very strong, but doesn't know where to be on the floor, doesn't have a go-to shot, is getting frustrated, etc. etc. He is not as springy as Cooke e...

Re: Depth Chart released
After flying out to see Brett, Bohl made a personal visit with Thompson. Fault lies with Thompson and whichever idiot advised him to go to Utah. Certainly not Bohl.

6'10", kind of thin, can shoot from 3, seems a little Herndon-esqe ... regardless, gotta get this kid. Mr. Chris Boucher, it is all about fit. And best fit is right here in the State of Wyoming with Papa Shy. Let's keep this thing rolling. Cmon on board Chris, and go Pokes.

From what I've heard, I don't think Jeremy would be the answer. Nice story though.

Re: Fan Board Meeting: Input Needed
Also, student fan group have pregame meetings to coordinate and plan for student fan involvement; offer pregame pizza or something for attendance; maybe have cheerleaders there for at least part of it to coordinate some activities with them. Of course, you don't want student fan group to coordinate ...

Re: Fan Board Meeting: Input Needed
If there was any way of reconstructing the student section so that the floor section isn't separated from the sections above the floor, I would do it. As it is, the students standing in the small bleachers on the floor are coordinated and into it; students in those sections above the floor, not so m...

Referees
Well that was painful. We turned it over too much, couldn't knock down critical free throws, but damn the refs were awful. Adams was mugged several times, no calls. Nance hacked, no call. We touch foul on the other end, quick whistles. Did any one see this on tv? see replays? Is this just brown and ...

Re: Larry Shyatt's post game comment
I love Coach Shy ... but I think he needs to ignore the twitter feeds (perhaps relayed to him via his son) and lay off the Wyoming fans a bit. It has been a long dry spell but the fans are beginning to show up. We had close to 8000 against a team that hadn't defeated a D1 team and on the heels of tw...

Re: Nevada
Shyatt let them attack and it it paid off. Not too much of wasting the clock and hucking up a shot Shyatt was encouraging them to attack during time outs. At one point he was exclaiming "I don't care if you get your shot blocked x amount of times, drive [or something to that effect]. Anyways, ...

"[Tyrell Williams] didn't notice in recent games, has he been on the bench? I remember he wasn't on the bench for a game a couple of weeks ago due to "focusing on academics" which I thought was odd since it was about a week into the semester." Often "focusing on academics&qu...

Re: Mono might be a blessing in disguise.
Although I think we get a win with Larry on one of those two road losses, I think there is something to this blessing in disguise reframing of our atrocious, horrible luck. But I think the biggest thing is having Adams run the point. I realize he is more prone to turnovers but when he is the primary...

Re: Bring on the Ass-ticks.
The Aztecs are talented but young, inexperienced, and do not shoot well. They are coming to Laramie against a smart, senior-laden team that is fundamentally sound. I think the we beat'em handily.

No, they'll just move to the new one. Not sure what the plans are for the old high school. Regarding the theatre, it is going to be a 10-plex and they've already started construction. I heard Buffalo Wild Wings and another sports bar going in and possibly a clothing store. The home depot rumor has b...

Re: Clavell (#3) = Punk
When CSU comes to Laramie, I hope Clavell (#3) gets the welcome he deserves. Student section do some research on him. Watch the last minute and half of the game. Punk was starting stuff with Josh and then shouldered Nance at the very end of the game. Other thing. Eustachy should have been t'd up se...
