Re: Not a HR, not even a GRD. A base hit though...
I'm surprised at the lack of excitement for Craig Bohl here. There were a few Nebraska fans hoping we'd can Pelini and bring Bohl to Lincoln. He's proven himself at the FCS level and then some. Here's what I'm hoping. Bohl comes in to Wyoming and gets his feet wet at the FBS level. He brings you guy...

Re: Coaching Change
I can't believe this. I was pulling for you guys this year after you nearly beat Nebraska here in Lincoln. I knew you guys had gotten off to a pretty decent start but then I lost track of y'all when Nebraska's season started spiraling downward. Give me the scoop here, folks. What happened? Did Smith...

Re: Nebraska Fans
Wyoming is a welcoming stadium and Nebraska is as well. As many Nebraska fans that were here (i think alot of them were locals or within a few hundred miles of laramie) and as nice as they treat us, we should renew this series every few years. Not every year, but maybe every other or something . Gl...

Re: Here to eat Crow.
Expected a blowout, too. Smith had a career night, better than any visiting QB at Memorial Stadium since (I think) Hodges from Texas Tech in 2004. I expected the Pokes to play tough. I didn't expect this. At all. Good luck the rest of your season, folks. Hope you make some big noise in the MWC. Hope...

Re: Panel of Pokes: Wagons East! [Cowboy Altitude]
Please, Please, Please keep Smith healthy. I'm kinda worried about this. Concussions are nothing to mess with, and the fact that he's missed time due to concussions, combined with the fact that Bo handed out Blackshirts to only some of our defenders - meaning the ones without Blackshirts should be ...

Re: Question for Husker Faithful
if you plan on drinking it isn't worth the risk nor the frustration trying to find spots. If you stay anywhere within 5 miles of the stadium you can get a cab for less than the $20 one way. That's a good point. Don't even THINK about drinking and driving on gamedays here. The police will get you, g...

Re: Question for Husker Faithful
stymeman - you're about as close to a "Big Red Express" stop as you can get. If you want to try that option, here's the link. $10 for a round trip ticket, $5 for one-way. Your stop would be the last one listed, the North Star High School location, basically right across 27th Street from wh...

Re: From a Mizzou fan living in Omaha
When you say "it would be nice to matter once in a while..." what do you mean? National relevance or something? That ain't all it's cracked up to be. The press loves to build a team up when they succeed and loves even more to tear them down when they fail. You guys have, near as I can tell...

Re: Question for Husker Faithful
Not only do the taxis run city-wide, a recent law change forced out the monopoly we had in Lincoln and now there are several cab companies competing for your fare. Cheaper rates, better service. There are also shuttle buses leaving from remote parking sites all over town. Up north there's a shuttle ...

Re: Question for Husker Faithful
I was told that there is a tailgate at/near the Embassy Suites. What can you tell me about that? That's "The Dock." They have a cover to get in (have no idea what that cost is) and it's supposed to be pretty fun. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they had a bad time there. It's on ...

Strength of Schedule 2012MrTitleist wrote:No one is even close to an SEC type schedule.
Alabama - 19
Georgia - 27
South Carolina - 23
Nebraska - 20
I'd say that's pretty darned close.
For fun:
Wyoming - 101

Re: Panel of Pokes: Wagons East! [Cowboy Altitude]
It sickens me how RED some peoples glasses are that they just cannot fathom anyone throwing the ball against a secondary completely unproven (with the exception of Evans). Wow... no. Don't get confused with the term "starter." Our secondary is DEEP. We have tons of experience at every pos...

Re: Panel of Pokes: Wagons East! [Cowboy Altitude]
I think it is at least a 75% probability Brett Throws for over 300 yards. Our running game is unproven, but we have a decent looking line this year. And, I don't think any Wyoming fan believes we'll limit the Nebraska offense. You guys should be able to run the ball.....we're just hoping to stop yo...

Re: Question for Husker Faithful
The Track isn't the bar you want to direct them to. The Sidetrack Band hasn't played there for two years - not since the fire. The Sidetrack Band plays at Single Barrel now (10th & P), so that's where you want to send people looking for that experience. The Haymarket is a good place to go. Too b...

Re: From a Mizzou fan living in Omaha
Jimmy, that was also four games into a new offense for Nebraska. We've been running it for two years now, and I'd expect to have quite a bit easier time scoring this year than in 2011.

100% not true. Any Poke fans coming to Lincoln will be treated with great respect. We have no reason not to like you guys (even with your siliness, BP).BeaverPoke wrote:Absolutely zero respect.

Re: From a Mizzou fan living in Omaha
I doubt the score is 35-0 at halftime, but I could easily see 35-10 or 28-7 Nebraska. I don't see why that's so unbelievable.
I'll agree that a lot of the Omaha radio guys are clowns, though. We haven't got great local radio guys. Print media, however, we have great writers in abundance.

Re: Taylor Martinez vs. Brett Smith
We may have guys (Beaver) on our board who are saying Brett is second only to Johnny Football. But you guys have guys on our boards saying Martinez is the best. Head to head an challenge, Brett smokes Martinez. You should spend more time on Husker football boards. We have as many guys trashing Mart...
