Re: Semi-OT:long distance Amtrak

That was the Treagle Train, sponsored for one game a year by the Cheyenne Tribune and Eagle newspapers. Before my time being old enough to join that rolling party. I guess there were guys too drunk by the time they got to Laramie to make it to the game. With newspaper economies being what they are ...

Re: Semi-OT:long distance Amtrak

I would be shocked if this happens anytime in the near future. Spending money on infrastructure is no longer something voters in this country put any value on. Politicians know this and steer clear of infrastructure plans, especially long-term ones, in their campaigns. Instead, they focus on the th...

Re: 2024 Mountain West Football Schedules

The UWAA wants to make Homecoming the last game in Sept. So it will either be AFA or SDSU. I've got a big problem with this. Homecoming has ALWAYS been in mid October. The day I was born the doc was pissed my mom went into labor because he had tickets for the game. Didn't feel right last year when ...

Re: UW Block Grant Budget Anendment

From a distance, it looks as though the Wyoming legislature is poised to do away with the notion of a block grant for the university. This would mean that, in future budget cycles, the university would have to present its budget like any other agency, and be subject to line item approvals by the le...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy

5-7 is a lot different than 6-6  Of course if you're into point differential, I guess Bohl was blown out a couple games fewer in those mediocre years. Yay! If you can’t see the difference between DC’s last year and the teams that Bohl put on the field then I don’t know what to tell you. DC’s ...

Re: Late signing day

If DQ hadn’t been kicked off, then I’d agree. As of right now, we have McNeely and Waylee. We need a 3rd. Jamari Farrell will be a senior next year. Sam Scott will be a junior next year. These guys are both viable. We struggled running the ball with Farrell and Scott when Waylee was out this year. ...

If you're on your phone, long press on the image until a menu pops up. Select "Download image".

Re: Late signing day

Anyone else find it odd we are signing a running back out of North Carolina with 1 year of eligibility remaining? What kind of a sign does this send to Waylee? Note - he played DB for North Carolina last year but was formerly their RB and is signed as an RB. It's odd. Maybe this says that McNeely i...

Tried to make this one look like the black objects were embedded in a basketball like the seams. Worked out pretty ok!

Re: Late signing day

I'm not sure who the walk ons are and who are the scholarship are. I suspect the ones with the additional videos are the scholarships Sawvel has said that they don't treat walk-ons any differently than they treat scholarship players. I like that approach quite a bit. It's paid off many times over w...

Re: UNLV

Our shot selection was terrible and we didn't get any penetration. And the turnovers...ugh the turnovers. I disagree with the shot selection. We were missing WIDE OPEN looks. The players were getting quality shots, just couldn't make them. I do agree that the lack of penetration is a problem. More ...

Re: Bertagnole is returning!!

I’ve talked to Bertagnole briefly. Great kid. If you have half a team of kids like him you would have a core to build around. Hard worker, committed, loyal and a kid you are never going to see in trouble. Kids like him, Logan Wilson etc are pretty special. His additional year adds a lot imo. I've t...

Re: Pokes v. Tecs

The 2 big problems, as many have stated, are turnovers and finishing at the rim. I think both of those can be attributed to having such a young team and having players that aren't used to the speed of the MW . The team is definitely getting better as the year goes on. Saturday should be a fun one. ...
