I thought he would've been an instant impact guy since he graduated HS early and was able to go through Spring Ball before his freshman year. But I guess if he wasn't able to find some time in the rotation this past year when we had such little depth behind our 2 best targets, transferring might be best for him.
Best of luck to the young man. I hope it's not a discipline or academic issue forcing his hand and he's only leaving to truly try and make the most of his football abilities.

I agree, good luck to the young man, a quality person. He has exceptional quickness, and excellent speed but he was so small. Wyoming's recruiting is improving so much that you better be a really impressive athlete overall, or you aren't going to see the field. Wyoming is getting big WR's with speed. He was recruited before Austin Conway came over from the men's BB program. Once Austin came over, it was evident Austin had better speed and quickness and abilities and was a bigger guy, so Joe was always going to be behind Austin.

Wow...who is going to catch passes next season?!
We are pretty talented at WR actually. Lack of experience, but some solid guys.
CJ, Price and Okwali will be solid.
I would throw Conway in there as well. I'll bet we see him used more in the passing game next year.
Sometimes I forget Conway is a receiver since he is mostly used on jet sweeps.
I think Conway has the potential to be a monster. Imagine him running in the slot. He would be a nightmare. I expect to see him a lot more this upcoming season as a pass catcher. Bubble screens and slants galore!
Giving Conway an entire off-season and spring period to practice route running, getting off CB's, etc. for the 1st time in his career is going to pay off big time. He was able to contribute last year with only his raw talent, imagine how good he can be if he actually learns the ins & outs of playing WR. I don't think it's a ridiculous claim to predict he'll be the most improved player on offense next year.
Conway will be a superstar in the west coast style passing game bohl likes to use. Expect to see much more of that style in '17.
It sucks to see any player transfer, especially a receiver right now. What I wouldn't give to have another year with Gentry (I'm sure Allen would too) but being a receiver for a QB like Josh Allen sure has it's perks.
