These kids are hungry. They want to take your Wyoming sandwich and toss it in the sand. They don’t like you. They don’t like us.

Four things that they don't have...….
Carl Granderson
Youhanna Ghaifan
Dewey Wingard
Logan Wilson
It sounds like it will be a defensive struggle. I have full confidence in ours. Films like this one are great for pumping themselves and their fans...but that doesn't make any difference on the field.
Youhanna is an exceptional athlete, and frankly he will be one of the top 10 DL in the draft when he comes out. Carl and Dewey are also at the top of their respective positions. While NMSU plays well as a team, they do not have any players rated as highly as Wyoming players.
Both teams lose QB's and other key players on offense. I like where our team is, while I think that the first half will be tight that the Pokes will pull away for a solid win in the second half because of our defense.

The good news is for the last few weeks, the Wyo offense has been going against the best defense they will see all season...it's all downhill from here!

It’s easy to turn anything into bulletin board material. They’re acting like Wyoming was out petitioning people to be top ten and don’t actually deserve it. That’s false. Potato is right. At some point all the bulletin material and personal slights won’t matter anymore and the better team will show up. On paper, we have the better team, we have the better total defense, and we should win this game.
You must believe our defense is going to score a bunch because I don’t see our offense scoring enough on anyone to create a 3 score margin.
This is going to be a close game.

I'm seeing like a 17-10 or 13-10 type game

We would've been okay vs SJSU if they hadn't decided to keep spelling Overstreet with Woods.
Name CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
Kellen Overstreet 17 139 8.2 0 38
Trey Woods 15 36 2.4 0 8
And that's despite how terrible Smith was as well.

Short field position always changes the game. God knows we need to have a tough defensive game and short field to help build the confidence of the new QB. I think our offense is going to strike decently this year. The game changer is going to be the offensive line and running backs. One more year in the weight room.
We do have some injuries - but these guys are going to click.

All hope on offensive isn't lost if we can run the ball better. Vigen's offense can be decent as we saw two seasons ago it's just entirely dependant on a strong running game setting up play action. If the ground game is not effective we are royaly boned tho.

Say what you want about whether they should've adapted the scheme better for Allen, but I believe VanderWaal could actually be an upgrade over time in terms of what they want from the QB in this system.
Allen was largely responsible for splash plays, but I also believe he missed many of the more simpler plays the system depends on to run at its best.
I said it sucks.....to be.....a CSU Ram! #GoWyo
