"For Personal Reasons". f-word that politically correct excuse crap.

Tell it like it is:

1. Butthurt not #1 on the depth chart
2. DC lured me away to Utard
3. Stubbed my kitty - see #1 - work ethic sucks
4. Can't stand the new scheme / system
5. Coaches are all assholes
6. Wyoming sucks - it is too cold
7. No nightclub in Laramie
8. I am a homesick pussyboy
9. Have an erection that has lasted more than 4 hours
10. I am a woman trapped in a man's body

And then there is real life that are truly "personal reasons":

11. Death / tragedy in the family
12. Impregnated my girlfriend and am getting married
13. Me & Muema
14. I can't do college - classes too hard, I am flunking
15. In trouble with the law, case pending

I wish him luck....I guess.

We really need to stay out of Texas. Never works for us.

Go Pokes!

We've had plenty stay from Texas. Seems like the last OL kid from Nebraska left too so Nebraska has a worse %

So a receiver expecting to play in a spread offense recruited by another coach is leaving.....actually shocked more haven't. Plenty of TX guys have stayed etc.

Really seems as though fewer guys have stayed than many previous changes.

Seriously? Maybe it just wasn't the right fit for him? Who are you to list those first ten reasons. Laramie isn't for everyone (like any school), Brown is talented and probably wants to go somewhere where he thinks he has a better chance to see the field. There is nothing wrong with that. I wish him the best of luck

Who am I? A douchey message board poster. Just like you pal. Sprout a sense of humor.

Oh, and not sure I agree with Nico's decision to bail & timing. Why wait until after the spring game, and all the practices. Further...never thought much of quitters. That is a different generation and a different time. I bet you can tell that from my post.

You're right...we've had and have some solid players from Texas. I don't blame Nico. It looks like the kid is a talented WR. But, being down on the depth chart when there are only 2 WR positions would be tough when you know you can play.

He won't be the least player to leave. Like normal, more backup types will leave. As long as no players slated to be starters leave, none of this is out of the normal for a new regime. Brown had talent, but a 3rd string WR won't see much time in this offense.

Ha Ha. Well ok a little crazy but you must say..........also "partially right" even though one receiver doesn't really equal a mass exodus.

I am sad to see this.....even though he may have been buried on the depth chart he had huge potential. Big Frame, fast, not to mention a good friend. I wish him the best where ever he is headed.

Now the question really becomes who will be next? Berger. Sewell, Simpson, Smith (who has already left once), McGarvin, Gentry, Eric N?

Why would Smith leave as he is a SR and has as far as I am aware has no available redshirt. Berger is also a SR. Simpson is a Wyoming kid and his dad is on this forum so I would believe that is unlikely to happen.

Many of the receivers on the depth chart are seniors this year. Gentry has shown that he is extremely talented and undoubtedly will be on the field should he stay with the Cowboys. I also see little reason he would leave.

I doubt Eric leaves while his older brother is on the team

Walker Madden was a senior, too. Not that I think any of these guys are next, I think they're staying.

Sometimes a senior is just done with all of the drama, and the demands of college football. Particularly when you are not going to play and younger players have swallowed you up on the depth chart. Berger, for example appears to just be going through the motions and seems to have lost his passion to play.
