So what are your opinions of the UW Concert to kick off the new Era and new Season in Wyoming Football?

Gates at 6pm; Concert at 7pm
Tailgate Park @ the University of Wyoming (rain or shine)
To be honest I like that they are trying something new and not just the same old poop, I'm unsure it will create anymore publicity for the game since it's the night before but I'm sure Bohl will make an appearance so that should be pretty cool.

I agree, Not sure I would have gone for a country concert but it is Wyoming so I understand the choice.Cuttslam wrote:They need to try anything and everything and see what actually works . Try thinking outside the box.

Something new & different (kind of - as this has been done in the past at certain levels & such). I applaud UW for stepping outside of the normal boring assed poop of the last XX years and giving it a try. I think though, the primary factor for them doing this, is to get students back into town before the game. Dorms open the 29th so there is that too.
Dear Karma,

Between football, the Snowy Range Music Festival, Craig Morgan, and students returning, there is going to be a bustle to Laramie that weekend. Might have to make the trip...

Getting any decent named band to come to Laramie for "Cowboy Kickoff" is pretty cool. Perhaps they should book Chancey Williams and the Younger Brother Band to open as well.
