NCAA ruled that no schools, except the service academies, can put slogans on their jerseys. So even if we weren't retiring them, the camo jerseys (or at least the nameplates) wouldn't be allowed anymore anyway.

I don't believe that's 100% accurate.
I'm sure that our Camo uniforms are military-related alternate uniforms.Per the NCAA, jerseys may contain only a player's name, the school name, the NCAA logo, sleeve stripes, an American flag, a state flag or logo for a school, conference, mascot, postseason game, memorial or the military. Exceptions have been made only for service academies and other military-related alternate uniforms.
