I lost $ last Sat. taking Mich. St. +12.5.
It looked solid. Rock solid.
Remember, the sharps in Vegas know everything you do, plus more. That's a fact.
They are pros. Hardcore, sophisticated gamblers. Every trend & nuance is factored in.
I thot Sparty was $ in the bank.
Yes, Pokes are playin some D. True enough. But Ducks are NOT gonna sleep walk. They all know they are lucky to have Mariota back, and will hustle their ass off for him to the bell. They are still gonna be sky high after that comeback Sat.
The number (43?) looks big, but don't underestimate Oregon's speed. Tyner is a beast. Charles Nelson, Allen, Rolls Royce. They can carve u up in a hurry. Don't be with your heart. Bohl is a damn good coach. This venue/team, however is at a different level.
Sorry for the lecture. You know all this stuff. But Vegas has eyes and ears everywhere. That's a fact.
Please be careful....

Typical Duck fan post.
Come to someone else's board to backhand compliment your team while talking about how awesome their team is.
"You have a good player BUT we are so much better".

If you ever need to laugh, just remember there was some idiot who wanted Bohl fired after 2 seasons.
Did an Oregon State fan marry a Cowboy. Better lock up the sheep.
OK Smart guy. Bet $500 and take 43 points. Against Mich St, the spread was EXACTLY what the bookmakers gave me until the late stages.
THE 2014/2015 DUCKS? I didn't even mention Marshall. Or 3 solid tight ends. Or Lowe. Or a pretty decent defense.
With that old school slow motion offense of yours, your D could be on oxygen & life support by halftime.
Bohl is a smart coach. Oregon won't run up the score. We have to visit you I think? Next year?. Helfrich is a cool young guy and a gentleman. We took a knee against Wash. last year for heaven's sake...
I been following Oregon football 40 years. This is the window of opportunity for perhaps a Heisman and a final 4 or natty. They won't overlook Wyoming.
Yes. Upsets happen every week. I don't think this is a good spot for Wyo. No disrespect to your kids. Your D can ball but the offense is pedestrian...
I'm trying to save u $. Don't bet with your heart on this one.

See but we think back to Nebraska last year, We get where you are coming from and we know walking away with a win highly unlikely. But last year it was highly unlikely that we cover the spread against Nebraska as well.
109k sea of red filled that stadium.
Then we see stuff like this....
We bleed Brown & Gold we love our Pokes and we believe that that spread can be covered and it's highly likely no post from anyone would change our minds. But I get where you are coming from and we all know the risk.
By no means am I comparing either team, It's more like we just do what they say can't be done.

Wait, you think sports betting is you against the house? You think lines are set to see if you can beat the casino?oregonjoy wrote:

Umm, wow. No wonder you lost your money.

They don't set lines based on how the game will go. They base them based on how betters think the game will go. (at least that's my understanding as a non-better). If 95% start taking Wyoming, the line will lower. Nothing has changed in terms of "information" acquired by the casino other than the bets that are being placed.oregonjoy wrote:What's your point?
I don't understand....
Setting lines is an information game and the casino has more of it than us....
What's your point?
I said it sucks.....to be.....a CSU Ram! #GoWyo

Good luck to your team as you guys looked great in the 4th quarter against a top defense. This will be a good game to measure how far we are fro last year....hoping for no injuries and a great game
Well us Poke fans can always think of 1982 basketball. That's when #1 ranked Virginia was beaten by 800-student
body NAIA team (about equivalent to an NCAA Div III team) Chaminade. So it CAN happen. For mathematicians,
this would probably be considered the 7-sigma case.

First of all, you didn't lose money on the game last week, because you didn't bet on Michigan State. No homer troll would bet against his own team. But thanks for the lecture, er, I mean warning!oregonjoy wrote:I lost $ last Sat. taking Mich. St. +12.5.

The guys that set the lines could give a rats ass about Colby's girlfriend or if our head coach is pissing kidney stones or if our OCs wife is getting nasty with our trainer. All they need to do is create a line that gets a lot of action. They want loads of guys like you to believe that Oregon will crush Wyoming and a lot of guys like us that believe they won't. The casinos will see to it that they pay winners the same as they collect from losers, minus their rake. The guys that sell their services so that you can beat the spread, they stay on top of all the dirty bits, as that's how they make their money.
If you've been following Oregon football for decades, then you must remember the hundreds of times Oregon hasn't covered the spread. Maybe this weekend will be one of them. Maybe they even lose...
Now that you've taken care of Michigan State, this game must be driving you all crazy. The only way you look good is to beat the living crap out of Wyoming. A loss and you can throw the rest of the season away, a close game, pretty much the same thing. No playoffs, no National Championship, no Heisman, no new pretty spikes from Nike. Well, I guess you'll still get the spikes, but you can kiss the rest goodbye, and we all know your team won't be better next season. In a couple years your new rivalry game will be Washington State, the "Battle for the Bong".

you are one of those dudes that walks around in an oregon shirt AND the matching pants aren't you. Admit it. you're one of those guys.
This game is a no win for you just as previously stated. Oregon will win. But it won't be pretty. Our defense is much much better than advertised so it won't be a blowout. Heed your own warning duck-nerd. i bet you wear a visor too. don't bet on this game unless you are betting on wyoming to beat the 43!

Oregonjoy... you believe this is the time for a Heisman or Final 4? How many of those do you guys have in Eugene?
Here's a hint... its not as much as what Oregon State has.

My prediction - this game is going right down to the wire, and not with Oregon's back-ups in there either. No doom & gloom and no defeatism here.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him/her.

I have been to the Ducks board and most of them have been very welcoming.
Who is the poop? Probably an Oregon fan as of a few years ago. He bought himself a Duck shirt on clearance when passing through and suddenly became a fan.

You know, Oregonjoy, I wish I had your life. I really do. You sound like everything I want to become.
You are the best
I wish we could all have the best tickets like you and look like you and drive your BMW.
I wish I had the job you had. The kind of job where you demand coffee every morning from your shapely secretary, then undress her every morning with your eyes.
I wish I had your toilets at home. A nice warm spray of water on my rump every time I dropped anchor.
I wish I had your Oregon Ducks nylon windsuit. A really noisy one so when I walked into the room I commanded attention.
I wish I had your mirror. One that talked to me and told me how DAMN handsome I was.
The only thing...I mean the ONLY THING I don't wish and am glad I don't have is the size of your donk. Little itty bitty. The only reason I know is that your wife told McPeachy about it the other night while at his house and he shared that info with us.
PS- We know Oregon will win. Don't be that guy
