Utes win. Beav will now predict doom and gloom for both teams here on out.

Not the ones I have talked to. I am a regular of local sports radio and they have all graded him as a C thus far. Their RB is a beast. Majority of friends, co-workers, neighbors, family ,etc that are Ute fans aren't impressed.Slow Hand wrote:The Ute Nation loves DC. Their offense sucks. If it wasn't for Booker, Utes would get rolled.

Yep, their quarterbacks had a combined 62 yards passing last night and Booker ran for 229 of their 253 yards in rushing. If Booker goes down, you can stick a fork in the Utes. Their defense and Booker are the reason they have only one loss this year.djm19 wrote:Not the ones I have talked to. I am a regular of local sports radio and they have all graded him as a C thus far. What is the difference between politicians and stoners? Politicians don't inhale...they just suck.

Certainly has done well as an OC. Lots of other examples of quality assistants that don't work as HC's. Norm Chow, Vic Koenning, etc.

While DC was at Wyoming...
Defense? Defense? We don't need no stinking defense.

Which is probably why he now has zero say in regards to defense again. The Virginian wrote:While DC was at Wyoming...

The Utes are having a decent year so far, but DC has been middle of the road OC during his career, with a couple of good seasons at Missouri. His teams are usually around the middle of the pack in offense. Hell, last night they only scored 16 points in regulation and only had three drives over 25 yards, with a little over 60 yards passing (when did you last see that in a spread offense?). The team did enough to win, but it was hardly the work of a good OC. Even Booker's big night was basically 2 big runs and the yards he gained in overtime. My opinion, a joke as a head coach and mediocre to decent as an OC.Slow Hand wrote:The Ute Nation loves DC. J-Rod I am curious as to why you thought it was a terrible game when you posted it?J-Rod wrote:Bore Fest. Terrible game so far.
It was honestly the most exciting game I have ever been to.
It was 6 to 6 at the half, it was totally dominated by defense.
After watching Wyo for so many years it was good to be reminded what defense is.
Definitely not a bore fast, it was awesome to watch.
If you ever need to laugh, just remember there was some idiot who wanted Bohl fired after 2 seasons.
