The "non-contact" period is over. February 4th is signing day. Basically 3 weeks to get it done.

I expect much better this year than last, especially as Bohl & staff have been in place for a year, and are not coming off the extended December / January Division 3 championship vacation thing.

;)

Can you explain this "non-contact" period?

No texts, no calls, no letters to recruits. It's basically time for them to go back to being kids and not having to worry about recruiting.

I think another one of the ideas behind it (and I could be wrong) is that it gives the kids a 1 month period where they can compose themselves without the distractions of school (Christmas break) or daily calls, emails, texts, etc. and consider what choice is best for them. All before the 3-week sprint up to signing day.

Winter workouts officially start Wed Jan 21st. Players should be returning to campus and checking in with Coach Duval before then. Time to get better stronger and faster!

I saw a tweet from Uso Olive. It basically said that he thanked the 18 other guys came back early and sacrificed to get to work early so that they will make next year really special. What a young man Uso is.

Uce is a workhorse. Many of the players that are back are ones that have had knee injuries repaired. They were asked to come back a little early to start their rehab. Others have been trickling in for about a week now. Full Force come Wed though....it is ON! War Daddy UP!

Albuquerque of all places? Not sure I would want to spend 4-5 years of my life there. Wonder if Pogi did any kind of investigation into the area?

"The rate of violent crime in Albuquerque is nearly double the national average. The homelessness rate, though harder to quantify, is similarly high."

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/03/opini ... .html?_r=0

Albuquerque ranks 2nd in the nation for violent crime.

I'm pretty sure the better players on the team never stop working out and doing conditioning, whether its fall break our Summer break. That's the difference between a starter and bench player.

This is great. Nothing says demotion like going from multi-year starting QB to Tight End....in an Option offense

The only time he will ever see the ball is when it is being run up his back.

Has anyone noticed how much shorter the typical Bohl recruit is compared to some years past? I am noticing LBs under 6'0" and linemen in the 6'2" range rather than the 6'4"+ guys we saw under the past several staffs.
