1985 regular season finale vs. UTEP. Beat them 23-21. Both teams head coaches were fired after the game.

Australia is fun. I've shared a place with others in Sydney and Melbourne. Ballarat is a nice training site for athletics.
Some of my family returned recently from living 6 months in Australia.
Last I heard if a fruit, like a peach, wants to go to Australia, one has to declare IT.

You know so much about when games were played. It's pretty cool Wyokie.

Can I start testing your knowledge just for fun?

Has Wyo ever played Cincinatti or Notre Dame?

And who was the best team on our schedule in 1980?
If you ever need to laugh, just remember there was some idiot who wanted Bohl fired after 2 seasons.

I love history almost as much as I love the Great State of Wyoming.

You can try but you can't stump a living legend of TWO message boards - this one and Sports Hawaii.

Nope to both in football. But we have played the Bearcats in basketball a few times. We are 2-3 against them with the last meeting being during the 1995-96 season. As for Notre Dame basketball, zilch.
And who was the best team on our schedule in 1980?
Well...our OOC sked that year had us playing Oregon State (winning 30-10), Richmond (winning 35-14), & @ UNLV in which we lost 33-26. Also we ended the year on a FOUR game road trip to Fort Fart, Vegas, Colorado Springs, and to El Paso (for our only road win of '80). Also it was our only season with Pat Dye as our coach.

The major historical events in 1980 - Mt. St. Helens eruption, "Miracle On Ice", and Ronald Reagan winning the Presidential Election.

Is there any information about the how and why of the game in Melbourne to end the season? Were there other D1 games in Australia that year?

For you single dudes, the Bull to Cow ratio in Australia is extremely favorable.
Wyoming Cowboy basketball:

National Champions 1943.

Helm's foundation National Champions 1934.

NCAA tournament MVP and two time College Basketball Player of the Year Kenny Sailors, who is credited with inventing the jump shot.

Do you remember Cowboy Basketball?

I do.
