Robert Priester remembers days filled with tears.

He couldn’t help but mourn his season-ending left knee injury suffered Nov. 22 against Boise State.

“First, I got down. I got weak,” said Priester, a sophomore cornerback. “I cried for a few days.”

He felt out of character.

Soon, he returned to his industrious disposition.

“I had to put it behind my back,” Priester said, “and tell myself, ‘I have to go get it. I have to come back stronger, better than I was before and help this team because they really need me and I need this team.’”
