The newness is gone.
Entering Craig Bohl’s second season as Wyoming’s head football coach, there are no surprises.
The learning curve is gone for the Cowboys. In Year 2 and after roughly 20 months, they’re immersed in Bohl’s culture and system.
“I think that players understand who you are in Year 2,” Hawaii coach Norman Chow said.
The offensive and defensive systems are in place.
Players know the coaches well, and vice versa.
When fall camp began Aug. 10, Wyoming’s baseline proved much further along than in 2014. Of course, that’s to be expected. But it doesn’t discredit or tarnish the impact.
