As many expected we received a commitment. According to Ben Mitchum, Wyoming has landed 6'3", 205-pound WR John Okwoli (@realjohnokwoli) out of Phoenix (AZ) North Canyon
This could be thr best recruit in this class
3 star WR picks WYO

Posted about him here...solid pickup. Was genuinely wanted by BSU and USU, but he wasn't their first choice. Their loss is Wyo's gain.

May this young man play with the needed chip on his shoulder to start piss pounding USU regularly (again) and Boise (finally)!

All right. Welcome to the Pokes!
I have watch this kid play and he could be special in a few years .. definitely a possibility. I'm not sure he is going to like the town comming from the phx area and I hope he just didn't come here last min to just take a scholarship from a school that he was not 100 percent interested in , if he did , hope he stays and rides out this storm .

You are one negative dude. Most of Wyoming football players come from warmer climates and bigger cities.Hampshire wrote:I have watch this kid play and he could be special in a few years .. definitely a possibility. Hampshire-
Have you met BeaverPoke? Misery loves company.
Back to the topic,
This guy is hard to hit and looks like a great get for the pokes. Can't wait to see what we develop into in the coming years. You're even starting to see high profile NFL Draft prospects come from Bismark.... I'm excited to see how strong-armed Josh Allen with a fired up Brian Hill looks like this year.

I'm no coach, but I really liked Okwoli. I liked him a little better than others, but I'm not sure what exactly went down. I did hear he was visiting Wyoming this weekend.
Hope he does well for you. I think he is solid.

You guys offered, he was interested, then was told by your staff that the position was filled. Kinda easy.Aggiefan33 wrote:I'm no coach, but I really liked Okwoli. I liked him a little better than others, but I'm not sure what exactly went down. I did hear he was visiting Wyoming this weekend.

Same thing happened with Boise.
Like I said, I liked his film. Saw he was coming on an OV to Wyoming so I came looking to see if you got him. I think you got a great player.
