Outside of BSU, the name recognition of the rest of the MWC membership is pretty similar to CUSA. As the MWC tanks in football, the gap between CUSA and the MWC is closer than the gap between the MWC and the AAC.
CUSA took it in the shorts on their TV deal; I suspect reality is going to slap us upside the head on our next round. Our leaders need to plan ahead now. How much is it really worth to play on espn on off nights? What if the espn bonus money exceeds the price espn (or CBS or whomever) pays per team?
WYO needs to be innovative and determine what is best for WYO in the event of a substantial reduction of conference TV money. What is the best way to get product to our fans? What media structure should we support and at what price? The next round of TV money is going to be a pittance; I hope Burman is planning accordingly.
