No wonder Dino went off on those guys. They're f'ing terrible, and they have very few good things to say about Wyoming. According to those poop, SDSU crapped the bed. Wyoming didn't really earn anything.POKE FAN wrote:PODCAST: Week 13 Mountain West football preview (MWCconnection.com)
We do get to the games after the lengthy start and it begins on Friday with Boise State at Air Force and this is a game that the Broncos must win if they want to have a chance to win the division.
Saturday the big game is Wyoming at New Mexico where if things go nuts the Lobos might have a way to win the Mountain Division (we were not entirely clear as the tiebreaking rules are odd), but what we do know is that if Wyoming wins they are in the conference title game and have a rematch with San Diego State.

I'll never listen to that show again. If I wanted to listen to a dorky white kid from Fresno and a dorky white kid from Utah talk, I could just go to a Star Trek convention.
Yikes!!

What a waste of time. That has to be the worst podcast I've ever listened to.

Wyoming football faces nation's best run offense in New Mexico's triple option (trib.com)
"They’re a prolific offense, and there’s certainly elements of option," Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said. "However, the quarterback, he’ll operate at center occasionally, but most of the time he’s out of the shotgun, which always poses more challenges, because you can do so much more out of that.
"Beyond being assignment-sound, we’re really going to have to tackle and have guys that are pursuing hard to the football. Hopefully we can get a couple of takeaways. I know last week we had one. We’re going to need more than that against these guys."

Wyoming claims Mountain Division title as Air Force beats Boise State on Friday (WyoSports.net)
The Cowboys were Air Force’s biggest fans Friday, and it worked as Air Force beat the No. 20-ranked Broncos 27-20 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
With the first MW division championship in school history already secured, the Cowboys still have a lot on the line today. A win over the Lobos would likely mean the Cowboys will host the MW championship Dec. 3.

Wyoming claims 1st division title in 20 years (WyoSports.net)
Twenty years ago, New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was the unanimous American League Rookie of the Year. Major League Baseball also approved the start of interleague play, and the Space Shuttle Columbia 21 was launched into space.
Twenty years ago also was the last time the University of Wyoming football team won a divisional title. However, that drought ended Friday.

Three Keys to Wyoming's game at New Mexico (WyoSports.net)
1. Play keep away
It is in Wyoming’s best interest to possess the ball, and obviously score points, to keep New Mexico’s high-powered yet time-consuming triple-option offense off the field. The Cowboys did a good job of this last week against San Diego State. I’m not saying UW’s defense isn’t capable of stopping or slowing down New Mexico, but it is dangerously thin depth-wise up front and the fewer plays it can be on the field, the more fresh it can stay.

Behind Enemy Lines:
Lobo football can share division title with win over Wyoming (Albuquerque Journal)
“Obviously we’re happy to have another game after what happened last week,” Davie said. “And to have another game against a really good team, I think, is fitting.
“Hopefully we can represent ourselves better than we did (at CSU).”
In Wyoming, UNM is facing a team that beat Colorado State and Boise State — the teams that handily handed the Lobos their two conference defeats.
Like Boise State and CSU, Wyoming will test the UNM defense — badly burned by the Rams last week — with a balanced offense. The Cowboys’ average yardage gained through the air and on the ground are almost identical.

Wyoming receiver, designated film buff C.J. Johnson thrives in supporting role (trib.com)
“He’s really accepted his role and just done whatever he could to help the team out,” Maulhardt said. “He was very unselfish and has let me and Tanner find our own way and have our season, but at the same time, he prepares every week to make the plays.
“That’s what you saw this week (against San Diego State). He hasn’t had a breakout game like that. He’s been letting Tanner or me have our games, but when his number was called, he’s been preparing all year, and he was more than ready for (last) weekend.”

Wyoming-New Mexico: What They Said (WyoSports.net)
"Certain things are correctable from this game and certain things don’t have anything to do next week with San Diego State. But, some of the blocking, tackling and pursue angles do.” — UW coach Craig Bohl.

Cowboys notebook: Hill has record-setting game in UW's disappointing loss (WyoSports.net)
“The records don’t matter. I’m just trying to help my team win, and if I have to run for that many yards and score that many touchdowns that’s what I’m going to do. All I am thinking about right now is the (loss) we just took.”

Gagliardi analysis: Despite 'abysmal' defensive effort, Cowboys still playing for a championship (WyoSports.net)
San Diego State has to be feeling the same way as UW right about now, and the team that is able to put its most recent losses behind them has definite edge this week.

Despite disappointing loss, Wyoming football still where it wants to be (trib.com)
“It’s not going to be hard to bounce back,” Hill said. “... We’re going to watch the film on Monday, and then we’ve just got to move past it. We’re going to get the day off (Sunday), just think about what we did and hopefully come back next week stronger.”
“I know how we feel,” Bohl said. “I don’t know how San Diego State feels. I understand they got beat pretty good. So we’re playing for the championship, and that’s why we’ve got to bounce back.”
