I love how he put two of CSU's pot smoking drop-out transfers on the pre-season all conference team last year and left Josh Adams off. He's also the idiot that tweeted out how CSU should try to hire Jeremy Shyatt when Larry Shyatt retired. Then, on top of all of his homeristic idiocy, he claims to be unbiased towards any team, when he's a gigantic CSU homer.

Agreed. Matt Stephens raises the bar pretty high when it comes to bad MWC press.
We have a pretty awesome thread going and I don't wan to waste space talking about the Rammies, but...

I find it hilarious that opposing fans hate him for the reasons you mentioned above, but even CSU fans hate him because they think he's bad press for CSU. He's either the worst journalist or the best troll ever, maybe both

Anyways, back to the awesome thread we've got going...

STORY: Wyoming football takes to air seeking second straight road win (trib.com)

"It’s definitely more of a road game than Colorado State, but it’s a different atmosphere," linebacker Lucas Wacha said. "They (have) a very good atmosphere. They talk a lot while you’re there. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to fun going over there ... and playing the best we can."

Windsor will play

Monday, freshman defensive end Shiloh Winsdor wasn't sure whether he would play or not this season. Wednesday, Bohl said Windsor would see the field against Nevada.

Behind Enemy Lines:
https://twitter.com/MurrayRGJ/status/789127380912709632 Nevada’s opponents have loaded the defensive front to try and stop talented running back James Butler from doing damage but the Wolf Pack rarely has been able to take advantage against man coverage on the outside.

While much of the focus with any passing game lies at the feet of the quarterback, Polian has defended senior Tyler Stewart against fan criticism and has largely been complimentary of his play. He said one of the major issues with the passing game has been injuries to receivers. Reserves Hasaan Henderson (concussion), Brayden Sanchez (foot) and Victor Gonzalez (shoulder) have all missed time, although Henderson is expected to return this weekend.

Behind Enemy Lines:
https://twitter.com/MurrayRGJ/status/789144846229467137 Polian compared Hill to former Boise State standout Jay Ajayi, who rushed for 204 yards and two scores for the Miami Dolphins last week. Wyoming’s offense has improved in throwing the ball but is built around smashing the opposition’s front seven with Hill. With Nevada’s linebacking corps banged up – leading tackler Alex Bertrando (upper body) is questionable – the new-look defensive line must step up.

Being senior heavy at WR was a concern for me coming into the season, as I looked to the future. Losing Hollister, Gentry and Maulhart but Price, Johnson, Conway, and Parker have all shown a good ability to catch the ball.

I am particularly excited about CJ Johnson. I think those guys will have solid careers when it is said and done and having Allen will only help

STORY: Wyoming and Nevada boast two of Mountain West's best at running back (trib.com)

LARAMIE -- The Wyoming defense has kept the lid on opposing running backs through six games this year. With the exception of Eastern Michigan's Ian Eriksen, no player has rushed for more than 100 yards against Wyoming.

"He’s got good speed, and he’s also a strong guy," Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said of the 5-foot-9, 210-pound Butler. "He’s not a scatback. He’s a guy that’s got good speed, but he can break tackles and he’s pretty elusive."

https://twitter.com/rpgagliardi/status/ ... 0095131648 Q: What are some of the key matchups in Saturday’s game, how do you see it unfolding and who wins?

A: The two biggest matchups to me are Brian Hill versus the Nevada front seven, and Tyler Stewart versus the Wyoming secondary. Hill is going to run for 100-plus yards, but Nevada needs to limit him to 4.5 yards per carry or less. If he runs wild, the Wolf Pack will be in trouble. When you look at the Cowboys, on paper, the pass defense is a weakness. Nevada has not thrown the ball all that well, but Stewart is a capable quarterback who has been up and down this season. I haven’t finalized my prediction, but I am heavily leaning toward Wyoming.

STORY: Young wide receivers progressing nicely for Cowboys (WyoSports.net)

“Through the course of a week, I’m more about matchups, like who runs the best post-corner or the best out-routes,” first-year wide receivers coach Mike Grant said. “Those two seniors, I believe, are the best. They’re not playing because they’re seniors or deserve the most snaps. You play them because they’re the best right now.”

However, Grant and third-year coach Craig Bohl like what they see from sophomores James Price and Joe Parker, along with redshirt freshmen C.J. Johnson and Austin Conway.

They’re a hard-working team. There’s a lot of effort going around. You don’t see any guys out there quitting at all.”

STORY: Now the favorites, Wyoming football enters game against Nevada hoping for a repeat win (trib.com)

"Expectations haven’t changed at all, actually," Wingard said. "We knew from the start we could do big things. Anything can happen the rest of the season, but we know if we keep playing the way we do, things are going to go pretty well for us.

"We can’t overlook anyone. I mean, we were 0-6 last year when we beat Nevada. Any team can beat any team on any night, so we’ve just got to go out and play every game like it’s a bowl game."
