I have no doubt in my mind Jovon Bouknight the fool did everything he was so fun to watch he wasnt way fast but he like glided... and would leap for the endzone return kicks... Man Jovon was somethin else he could not be stopped it seemed he was a special talent
very distant honorable mentions:
Julius Stinson: Awful teams but he was way good
Ronny Rockey: He could hit like a mad man
Devin Moore: He was just so damn fast!!!
My players are more current because im only 18 but im sure im missing plenty of guys

Marcus Harris/Josh Wallwork- Those guys could play pitch and catch all day against anyone.
Bouknight was a lot of fun to watch. He wasn't fast but he made people miss and fought for every yard.
Ryan Christopherson- Ran people over. Leading all time rusher until Devin Moore
Patrick Chuckwurah was a beast on the D-Line.

I am going to date myself...but even as a small kid, I was a huge poke fan...some of my favorites were players that aren't referred to a lot anymore...or not on the "hot list" of many UW fans...
Darnell Clash, Lawrence Gaines, Steve Tobin, Aaron Kyle, Eric Coleman, Latrail Jones...amongst many others. But, my favorite all time Poke, hands down, Ken Fantetti. Went on to play with the Lions...for 6 years...and I remember this quote from one of his fellow teammates one day...
"If you ever saw Ken get real mad...he would cover the whole field, the entire defense could just lay down...he was that fast, that tough, and that quick"

I have to admit that it's Bouknight for me. He had so much talent, had a huge repertoire, and was one of the most elusive guys I've ever seen. It's really too bad he wasn't committed enough in the weight room or at practice, or he would be playing on Sundays.

I know/knew his dad, Richard. He was my first landlord when I moved to the U.S. (in Riverton).Cornpoke wrote:Aaron Elling of course
One of the nicest guys ever. He took me fishing up in the mountains above Sinks Canyon and was one of the most easy going people I've ever met. Hope he's still doing awesome.

ha! I worked w/ Andrew Waring when I was in college.. he was the long snapper at the time..McPeachy wrote:Or perhaps, good 'ol number 37 Tom Waring
Allyn Griffin... but then it's enjoyable to watch the guys I played HS football with. His first college catch as a freshman was a TD if I am remembering correctly. Drafted by Detroit in 1986.
Jesus First, then football

I'll throw in my two cents:
Joe Hughes, Ryan Yarborough, Ryan Christofferson. Always remember listening to those games on the radio while out hunting w/ Dad.

That is a hell of a list McP. I'll just add one name to it - Paul Nunu.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him/her.

He's from the Island of Oahu!WYCowboy wrote:I'll just add one name to it - Paul Nunu.
Plus, Josh Wallwork from the early '90s was also born in Honolulu. His mom wanted him to play for the Rainbows but they never looked him so he went the JUCO route for 2 years then ended up in Laramie.

I knew about Nunu being from Hawaii, but not Wallwork.
