summer hoops
Does anyone care to share how summer hoops workouts are going? Or is it too soon? If I were even half close, I'd be getting season tickets. As it is I intend to get to Boise - the record may not be so good this year, but watching these guys learn on the run has me amped.

I will be moving to Laramie shortly and will buy my first ever season tickets! Very excited for this season, too.

A bit early, but welcome back!LanderPoke wrote:I will be moving to Laramie shortly and will buy my first ever season tickets! Very excited for this season, too.
By the way, there will be a few changes. Like a new high school out past the rec center (under construction), a new movie theater under construction (not sure if replacing the old one or competing against it), 2 buildings in downtown Laramie are gone (one burned down the other suffered structural damage and partially collapsed), and part of Grand Avenue (mainly along UW) got a major facelift.

Thanks! We are excited to be back in Laramie as adults and ''real people''. Every time we go back we notice a massive new building going up somewhere. I like the new high school, but I've got mixed feelings about Laramie growing. I don't want it being like Fart Collins.fromolwyoming wrote:A bit early, but welcome back!LanderPoke wrote:I will be moving to Laramie shortly and will buy my first ever season tickets! True. No gas, no oil, no coal, no trona, no bentonite, and no farming means few jobs in Wyoming. I'm an accountant so I can work pretty much anywhere. I guess Laramie is just beginning to feel bigger.laxwyo wrote:There is no way that can ever happen since there's no jobs
Here is a recent Twitter conversation regarding WYO recruiting in Colorado from a couple of guys who follow/cover Colorado HS hoops and/or CS-ewe hoops. Some nice compliments for the WYO staff:

I agree. I think he has upside like crazy. I think he plays more minutes than Trey Washington this fall. Cannot wait to see this group of guys this fall. I think I am more excited for basketball than I am for football....LanderPoke wrote:I'm looking forward to Lieberman this season
I think Lieberman will be a good player but I really beleive that Washington is gonna be a star this year. He has been in the system for a number of years and is one of the more experienced guys on the team and appears to have worked hard in his redshirt year. I expect big things from him.ItSucksToBeACSURam wrote:I agree. I think he has upside like crazy. I think he plays more minutes than Trey Washington this fall. I feel like this is going to be our starting backcourt. Hopefully all this extra work together will pay off.

I said it sucks.....to be.....a CSU Ram! #GoWyo
I like the way Josh has always kept that chip-on-the-shoulder mentality, no matter the praises. He needs some Poke young'ns to step up so teams aren't cheating on him this year.
