HW pinned to give OU the win. The upper weights have been a major letdown for Wyoming all season. This need to be addressed.

Do you know how long Woodburn has been up at 33? I thought he was also always in 25 but in Stillwater was 33OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2017 6:55 pmLooks like he wrestled pretty well. I'd be curious how it goes between him and Trent Olsen in the room because I would think one of those guys would be the starter next year.

Woodburn can't beat Templeman I don't think. Woodburn is also a Senior.wyokoke wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2017 7:39 pmDo you know how long Woodburn has been up at 33? Pokes have not responded well at all today trailing 21-3 and their seniors giving up a pin, technical fall and major decision.

They actually wrestled well against OU and almost pulled off an unlikely win. OSU was expected to dominate (the #1 dual team in the county) and they did.
Meredith is wrestling extremely well right now and just pinned his opponent to bring it to 21-9. Today is it until the Big 12s...almost a month break until the next wrestling meet (strange schedule).

Mendenhall with the Major...pokes trail by 8 with Colgan and Ashworth left (21-13). This will be an interesting finish.

I know they wrestled very well against OSU but the loss was evident and the let down was very visible.OrediggerPoke wrote:They actually wrestled well against OU and almost pulled off an unlikely win. OSU was expected to dominate (the #1 dual team in the county) and they did.

Well losing by 30 to OSU looks bad but it's better than it looks. Its like Bama football. IIRC they won both the Reno Tournament of Champions and Southern Scuffle as well

Reno isn't much to brag about...but OSU sent basically a JV squad to Reno. Meredith actually lost by more to OSU's backup at Reno than he did to undefeated and #1 ranked Heil.wyokoke wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2017 11:30 am

I'm not sure if Bama is great comparison although because Penn State has been the best team for the past several years. It will be a close finish between Penn State and OSU at the NCAAs. I enjoy watching the Penn State 'push the pace' wrestling style.
Yeah I meant more Bama this year not the last decade or so. Penn State and OSU have a dual this weekend though, that could be really interestingOrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2017 11:42 amReno isn't much to brag about...but OSU sent basically a JV squad to Reno. I only saw highlights. Penn State dominated OSU. Heil looked pinned to me but ref didn't call it and escaped with the win. The stats were something like Penn State takedowns 24 to Oklahoma State 7. What I hope this does is continue the shift in the country to PSU's aggressive style; it is much more fun to watch.
Yeah it got bad, when I posted that it was still close (OSU won the first 3 and went up 13-0)OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2017 5:26 pmI only saw highlights. Penn State dominated OSU.
