Aztecs miss front end 1-1 and we let a guy grab and put in. Jesus, we look regressed

Maybe it would be a good Idea to play your leading scorer?? just a thought.
Is JJ injured?

Edwards just sitting on his ass not coaching or calling a timeout. Not sure what this team even works on at practice. They don't get back on defense and turn the ball over.

Well that was a great run by the boys there to end the half. Maybe we could actually pull this one out.

No way. He was trying to make a play on the ball just did not get there. No way that was intentional.laxwyo wrote:You guys think that was an intentional? He caught him on the arm first and then grabbed him

Well this game is pretty much over. We chipped away at the lead then basically fell apart.
Our basketball team isn't much different than our football team in terms of road games we just aren't there yet.

It really does seem like we get the short end every time. I guess that's what happens when you're not the team attacking.

The problem we have is, as I see it, three issues:
1. We have no identity. Since Nance and Co. graduated we have no identity and no "swag". We were fun, high flying, and stupid stingy on defense. Dunktown was alive and well! We can't really say that now and couldn't last season either.
2. We have no leaders. Again, the vacuum left by those seniors two years ago still dominates our team. We have no personality to step up and fill that void this year. Adams did last year but there is no one left. I really believed that JMac would step up and play the leader role on this team but so far I haven't seen it. This team needs someone to turn to on th court when things get rough, someone to hit a shot when needed or to make a stop and we haven't gotten that yet.
3. Maybe the easiest to fix. Edwards is in over his head so far. He is still learning the ropes of D1 coaching but I expect him to improve in ththe years to come. I believe that in his desire to make his own name (not Shyatt 2.0) he has overthought some things and made things harder than maybe needed but fully expect him to settle in, learn from the "mistakes" of this season and get better. I do believe we have a good one.

We don't have the personnel. JMac, Lieb, Gorski, Kelly aren't going to get you wins in the MWC. We need more scoring, playmaking and rebounding from our little guards. It's just not going to happen this year. Looking forward to next year.

I hope Edwards is still recruiting heavily. I believe it is time to cut some dead weight at the end of the season. Can name 3 scholarships that we should open up and find athletic contributors to fill those spots.
