The company as a whole has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, in hopes that someone will buy the company, and they were just given an extra week. But as of now, Hastings no longer rents movies or games, sells 3rd party cards, or does buybacks (or anything of the like).
All of the games they've had to rent, are now available to buy for $40, and I think the movies will follow soon.
For Laramie Residents and frequent visitors; Hastings may be closing.

I'm surprised it's survived this long. When blockbuster went belly up, you knew Hastings wasn't all that far behind. It's not just Netflix but all on demand movies

Ditto. Surprised it lasted this long.
So who has millions and wants to Invest w/ me? Buy the Hastings building and the K-Mart building adjacent and turn it into a Super Target? We could be rich

Hastings in Missoula is definitely closing as well. Cool store, just never shopped there.
