Depends.....Ja Chai Baker could easily be a DE. There is also Alec Stewart, depending on what position.....waiting on his LOI. Have a couple walk-on's too. Got a big one from Mullen HS in Denver yesterday.

I would hope Bohl uses one or two of the remaining scholarships on a DE....but only if the DE can play.
Stewart came across the scroll at a TE today, not DE.

“Being around Colorado State, I saw that football wasn’t really a big sport there," Parker said Sunday night.

Is there a time frame for when the walk-ons will be announced?

That is an impressive list of walk-ons.....and is missing the DE from Mullen HS.

I can see a couple of these guys getting PT down the road.

Agree...especially DE's. I don't think the DT position is in terrible shape. We return 4 players with playing experience...two with starting experience. And, get a very good looking player off his redshirt year. Next year we only lose Appleby.

DE's....we have Granderson and Prosser returning with game experience (Both need to gain weight....even if Prosser will be a linebacker). Trevor Meader was the backup last year before getting hurt. After that, I'm not sure.

Looks like we have a great recruiting class.....if we were in the Big Sky Conference. Everything I have read has us battling Hawaii for the last ranked class in the Mountain West.

If that's true we could be in bad shape.

The only hope is that Bohl has found a bunch of diamonds in the rough. He proved at NDSU he can do this, but can he find 8-10 per class that have slipped through the cracks? I guess we'll see.

Holy poop guys....some of you will complain just to complain. Some of our best players have been some of our worst ranked players. Andrew Wingard wasn't recruited by anyone except us and North Dakota. Just because a player doesn't have a bunch of stars next to their names you think they automatically suck. Drama queens.

Well, no, but it doesn't hurt to get ranked guys. I don't think Alabama is winning national championships with two star guys and 185 pound linebackers. Boise State typically has the best rated recruiting class in the conference, and they are the cream of the conference virtually every year. To pretend the ratings don't matter at all is a bit naive. San Jose St. has the second rated class, which is crazy to me.

How many stars did Brian Hill have coming out of high school? How many P5 offers did he have?

At this moment stars are a talking point but we won't know anything about this class until they actually play.

Here's my thought on that poop. Look where Bohl is doing the majority of his recruiting: the Midwest. Where are the large population bases? On the coasts and in the South. The reason these kids aren't rated as high as others is they don't get the exposure the kids in Cali or wherever else get. This is part of the reason SJSU gets good classes is they're recruiting California kids the sources see on the daily whereas we're recruiting Midwestern kids who aren't constantly viewed by most recruiting sources. Until games are being won and facilities being built, we probably aren't going to have the most touted recruits. Accept it and move on.

Good points Nebraska......For me, it drives me crazy when a player is judged before he gets a chance to prove himself.

So I guess Alec Stewart really is going to play TE. I have no freaking clue what we are going to do at DE.
