I personally don’t believe Boise did anything special that made Rice deserving of COTY.
Pretty sure Boise wasn’t picked 8th in the pre-season. Don’t believe they were some underdog team so then winning wasn’t exactly special. They were picked to be in the top 4 and were coming off previous success.
Linder did more out of a dumpster fire team than any coach in the country. I know I sound bias as a Wyoming fan but let’s be honest no one thought Wyoming would win more than 5 conference games this year.
But this losses to UNLV, SDSU and New Mexico were all bad losses.
We win games and am the awards change.

SDSU isn’t a bad loss anymore than the CSU loss. New Mexico is the real head scratcherWyo2dal wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 1:23 am I personally don’t believe Boise did anything special that made Rice deserving of COTY.

The NM loss is bending us over. We went from the high 20s in NET to like 40. If we don’t make the tourney, that loss will haunt us for yearslaxwyo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:29 pmSDSU isn’t a bad loss anymore than the CSU loss.
