This said, two questions : first, why are we lining up for 55 and 51 yard FGs when we have a headcase kicker, field position and momentum on defense.
Second, what the hell were we thinking going hurry up in the last two minutes when we could have ran clock. Dumb play calling.
Not a question, but the refs were awful.

I don’t actually think they both were bad choices. One of them for sure since it was 4th and 1 I think. Hoyland started season 2-2 on 50+ hitting 2 56 yard fgs I believe. Went through a rough patch and Bohl gave him a chance to get better and correct. Didn’t work out. I think that should definitely shape our choices going forward. If it’s 4th and 4 or more and we’re <50yd fgs, then we still try the kick. If we’re, 4th and 3 or less, we should go for it on + side of the field
