I believe the spring game was supposed to be in Cheyenne in 2020, but Covid put a kabash on that.

Montana takes their spring game on the road every other year.. it's fun to go on a quick road trip and watch football outdoors in April. Bleachers are usually packed for the away trips.

It's a shame they don't take them to Sheridan, Lander, Cody, Green River, or someplace decent. I like the every other year away thing as long as it's not Casper or Cheyenne.

Personally, I feel the game should be held at the War, always. If you want to spread out to other communities, great, go do a practice & meet / greet. But not the spring game, that needs to be at home, and hyped, marketed, etc.
Dear Karma,

Agree. Nowhere else in the state has football facilities anywhere close.

I’ve used it several times. When the comparable is and traveling through Rock Springs, stopping in Green River seems decent.Wyovanian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:27 amGreen River. Decent. Same sentence. First time EVER...flyfishwyo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:16 am

Green River goes on my "decent" list because of the fly fishing opportunities close by.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:47 amI’ve used it several times. When the comparable is and traveling through Rock Springs, stopping in Green River seems decent.

Generally, I agree with that. The problem is the rest of the State gets all worked up about outreach. I'd be okay with it as long as it's not Casper or Cheyenne. Those people can drive over to Laramie for the game.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:45 amAgree. Nowhere else in the state has football facilities anywhere close.
