I'd take his kind of baggage at this point. I'd rather win and get caught than keep on losing like this.

Eh...
Pearl vs. Gillispie. We balked on Gillispie, surely we would f-word up any situation with Pearl.
The chance of this happening, has about the same odds of me going on a 30 day paid f-word fest at the Playboy mansion. It just isn't going to happen.

You'd have to renew your prescription of Viagra!McPeachy wrote:The chance of this happening, has about the same odds of me going on a 30 day paid f##k fest at the Playboy mansion. It just isn't going to happen.

I get mine from oversea vendors (like you asked me about last Christmas)...again, no need for a prescription, and a 1/4th the cost. Your GF will be smiling a lot more...but take my advise again Mr. T., be cautious of the "generic" or "herbal" switches they try to pull.MrTitleist wrote:You'd have to renew your prescription of Viagra!McPeachy wrote:The chance of this happening, has about the same odds of me going on a 30 day paid f##k fest at the Playboy mansion. And surely, I wouldn't be contacting a doctor for priapism on my 30 day f-word...ride baby ride!

I get it that we as fans want to make a splash with a great hire of a coach who's had great success with other schools, but are we really that desperate that we want somebody who's got a history of having problems with NCAA violations. Don't get me wrong, I want the Pokes to win and be succesful as much as anybody, but I want them to do it right. I don't want them to stoop to the levels of these other schools who just want to win and we'll deal with the NCAA later when they find out. While it'd be wonderful to have the Pokes make a run deep into the NCAA tourny, it'd suck to have it invalidated by the NCAA because our coach cheated; to where maybe Wyoming gets suspended from post-season play for a season or two, lose scholarships, or whatever.

Let's be clear on what he did. He had a recruit at his house and he lied to ncaa investigators about it. Now, I'm not condoning what he did. But in the grand scheme of violations, this has to be one the more ticky tack ones there is. His lieing about it was the issue. Now, he is paying for that.gbpoke wrote:I get it that we as fans want to make a splash with a great hire of a coach who's had great success with other schools, but are we really that desperate that we want somebody who's got a history of having problems with NCAA violations. I'm a little amazed at all the holier than thou posters I'm reading. Let me get this straight: the coach can't have a drinking problem, he can't lie, no marital problems, and probably no speeding tickets. Do we want a pope or a coach?
Your line about about possibly getting suspended from post season play is one of the funniest things I've ever read. We can't even make the quarterfinals of our own post season tournament!! That's kind of like a guy on welfare who doesn't want to win the lottery because of all the taxes he'll have to pay.

It was just an example, and if it ever did happen it would suck. I work with a guy who's a huge Michigan fan and he and several other Michigan fans I know are pissed about having to give up a lot of the things they won during the Steve Fisher era. Granted most of these things were self-imposed but still...I know the infractions are not really comparible, but again just an example and I'd rather not have the Cowboys go down that road...we Cowboys really can't afford anything like that, as it is they're already teetering on the brink of trouble.bladerunnr wrote:Your line about about possibly getting suspended from post season play is one of the funniest things I've ever read. Here's another example, John Calipari. Two programs and 2 near death penalties. Yet, the guy immediately gets the Kentucky job. I'm not sure in today's cut throat programs that anyone who wants to be competitive can run a totally clean program. Here's our ace in the hole: those blue blood NCAA investigators would never come to Laramie. Maybe that should be our selling point to Bruce!

Good point bladerunner, the NCAA probably would never come to Laramie to investegate anything. The only problem with that is I don't think any head coach with a decent/good resume like Pearl, would really want to either.
