I think our unpredictability on 3rd and long will have them on their heels.

Good point! Plus we are making them guess what we might do on the inevitable 4th and long on our own side of the field.Itsux2beaewe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 8:17 pm I think our unpredictability on 3rd and long will have them on their heels.

Losing who may have been our best DE (who really knows) is not good. My gut says we’ll lose by 3TDs now. A good DE can really disrupt the game and the guy Bohl talked about a lot is out. Bummer

Beyond stupid is being nice. f-word idiotic and childish seems more fitting.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 12:12 pm The depth chart was released...
At QB for Wyoming: TBA
At Punter for Wyoming: TBA
I'm confident that Illinois knows Peasley will be starting and I doubt Illinois really cares who we have at QB or punter. This is beyond stupid.

Last year, I figured the New Mexico game signaled the beginning of the end for Bohl. Four wins might buy him more time, but I've gotta think 3 or less sees him fired/retiring. Which is entirely possible if we lay an egg against one, or especially two of the teams we should be able to beat.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I see no scenario where Bohl gets fired. I don’t think a 2 win season would do it.bullbugle307 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 5:41 pm Last year, I figured the New Mexico game signaled the beginning of the end for Bohl. Appears the average margin of loss is 29.33...so giving up 11 looks like a dream come true to bet Illinois and make a few mortgage payments.cowpoke pride wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:54 am Winning on the road is difficult, no matter who you are. Against P5 or not.
But YIKES.

Man...I'm increasingly pessimistic as kickoff nears. I'm bracing myself for getting trucked. I see no way that we are able to stop them...even though defense is supposedly what we are good at.McPeachy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:09 amAppears the average margin of loss is 29.33...so giving up 11 looks like a dream come true to bet Illinois and make a few mortgage payments.cowpoke pride wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:54 am Winning on the road is difficult, no matter who you are. On the off chance this is a close game...The only way I see that happening is some sort of an uncharacteristic offensive explosion on Wyoming's part. I'm not optimistic.

Great point, I think $10 is too much faith betting on WYO this week. May as well just wipe your arse with the 10-er and flush it. Probably feel a lot better.

In our defense, I think they only do that on critical 3rd downs - eg they marched down to around the scoring 30 yard line. I still think it is annoying though.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 9:22 amJust like our giant tachometer to get us Wyoming fans juiced up for 3rd down lolOutlaw Arthur Morgan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 8:46 pm I can't be to hopeful, but I hope we knock them off. I was at the Uconn game last year, and I swear to god, if I ever hear that Guns' N Roses song again, I'll shoot someone.
Every. Goddamn. 3rd..Down. I swear we must have converted every 3rd down, and made them pay for it. And we had to hear "Welcome to the jungle's" start out every 3rd down. That's like 10x the number of times I listened to it in High School.
Everyone would stand up like it was the first time they heard it. They loved it. Did Gun's N Roses graduate from Uconn or something?
