Kyle Allen from TAMU (sit a year and 2 years eligibility, I think)
Trevor Knight from OU (eligible immediately and for 1 year--I think)
I could be wrong on both of those for their eligibility but both are transferring.
A couple of good transfer QBs on the market

Do we really want to go for a third "One year QB "?ragtimejoe1 wrote:Kyle Allen from TAMU (sit a year and 2 years eligibility, I think)

Why don't we stick with what we got and also have coming in.

I'm with you; I doubt they consider here.VisorHair wrote:Kyle said he was looking at Oklahoma. He's from Scottsdale so look for him to talk with ASU..
Not going to be a Poke.
I'd take a shot on Trevor if he would consider, but I doubt he has WYO on the mind.

I'm for the best player period. If that is a one year QB, then yes.kansasCowboy wrote:Do we really want to go for a third "One year QB "?ragtimejoe1 wrote:Kyle Allen from TAMU (sit a year and 2 years eligibility, I think)

Agreed. Josh Allen looks like he could be a good one, and Chandler Garrett has some hype coming in. Nick Smith has some game time, so he'll be better next year. Let's take what we've got. The grass isn't always greener.kansasCowboy wrote:Do we really want to go for a third "One year QB "?

And everyone, including myself thought Coffman was going to be beneficial. Looking back, I would've preferred using the other guys and getting them set up for the future. Now we look and another one year guy who could be a Coffman or Kirk. Who may lead? Who may have talent? I've watched knight, the guy gets too excited and throws picks, and he does that with a GOOD TEAM what would he turn into with a line that is transitioning and young? Too excited. Not worth it for a year. I would prefer a guy we've already got in the system.ragtimejoe1 wrote:I'm for the best player period. Coffman was the best option we had or do you think Bohl is a dummy?
If we could land him and Bohl thinks he is an upgrade, I'm all for it.

To begin the year, Coffman was the obvious choice. Starter on a B10 team and put up respectable stats. However, IMO, if Josh Allen didn't break his collar bone, we would seen him much more during the season. Maybe even taking over the starting spot. He was impressive with both his arm and legs....just needs to learn how to take a hit.ragtimejoe1 wrote:Coffman was the best option we had or do you think Bohl is a dummy?

And your right, Bohl will determine if there is a need and if he wants to pursue another transfer.

The starting gig was Josh Allen's until he tried to run through that defender and his collarbone stayed behind. Simple as that.JimmyDimes wrote:To begin the year, Coffman was the obvious choice.
