“I have more of a ‘believe in what I see’ type of mentality,” Edwards said. “If you look at the stats, you would think we’re a good defensive team. But at the same time, when you put your eyes on it, there’s probably some things we can do better.
The Cowboys have been at their best this season when they’ve been unselfish offensively and have what Edwards calls “an edge defensively.”
“I’m not concerned about getting that edge back because I’m always on our staff about bringing that edge at practice, and guys feed off what we bring,” Edwards said.

“(My shot) felt good off the release and my teammates were finding me for open good looks,” Dalton said.
“We were moving the ball really well so that helps me to get open. Coach (Edwards) always says if we’re open and on balance, he wants us to shoot, and they were falling.”
“He’s a great shooter, so I’m mad when he doesn’t shoot the ball,” UW junior Louis Adams said of Dalton’s performance. “I don’t think he ever takes a bad shot.”

“They had seven fouls going into one of the timeouts, so (Edwards) told us we needed to start attacking the basket,” said Dalton, who scored 13 points. “We struggled there too but – on the defensive end – we buckled down and crashed the boards hard.”
