This is great!

When Allen was a high school sophomore, he was 5'10" and weighed 145 pounds. Gutierrez, who was also the quarterbacks coach, called Allen tortuga, Spanish for "tortoise," after watching him plod around the bases. Allen hit 6'3" as a junior and grew an inch taller as a senior, but no matter how much he lifted, he couldn't pack muscle onto his frame. This didn't make him soft, though. Firebaugh football coach Bill Magnusson used to make Josh hit the blocking sled with his linemen. People would ask, Aren't you worried you'll hurt your QB? "No," Magnusson would reply. "I'm worried about him not being a prima donna."

A prima donna Josh is not. He proved that when he tackled the guy that intercepted him.
Just needs to slide more, and work on his touch/decision making this season.

I was reminded today that he did that twice last season. It also happened against Northern Illinois, but that INT was called back on a penalty.

I love the passion he plays with. I do hope he lowers his shoulder less and slides more and uses discretion on when to put his body in danger. He certainly can lengthen his career if he does so.

He tackled that asshole from Nebraska, too.

This is where we will find out how mentally strong josh is.

All the attention, distractions, and less experience at the skill positions on offense means he will have to be on point if he is going to surpass last years numbers.

Wouldn't it suck to lose a top 10 draft pick and the all time running back in the same season

Also said that Josh could throw it 85 yards. Crazy arm strength. Also mentioned that Josh (pre-pubescent Josh lol) could throw a baseball 90+ in high school. I would bet that very few people on the planet have a better arm than Josh.

It's shocking that nobody took a risk on him as a senior. You think of all the fcs schools, desperate fbs programs. How did a guy like this fall through the cracks

I'm just happy it shows you can turn into a monster prospect without going through all those super camps and pro-pipeline things as a teenager.

There's something to be said for being a multi-sport athlete and bringing skills across.

Gotta love the haters that these types of articles bring out.....

"Allen does not have mythical talent. If he did he wouldn't be at Wyoming."

Sounds like that was written by a Fresno State fan.
