WYOMING PREPARES TO WELCOME VIRIGINA
WELCOME TO THE WAR, 7200 FT

It's one week until the Wyoming Cowboys open the 2007 football season against the University of Virginia Cavaliers. The Cavs are coming in hungry, but the Cowboys are looking to avenge last year's one point loss to the Cavs. Sept. 1 is the national college colors day, and all fans are encouraged to wear their brown and gold, as a sign of unity and community within the confines of War Memorial. The game starts at 12:00 and the game is being promoted as Sellout Saturday. The Cowboys figure to have a near sellout as 23,000+ tickets have been sold for the game already, and the students have yet to arrive at the stadium. Season tickets are at an all-time high this season, which figures to be a big boost for the Pokes. The Pokes also christened their new indoor practice facility this week with practice having to be moved indoors due to the thunderstorms in Laramie. Go Pokes!
