Cowboys Lose in Boise, Ohio Bobcats Next
WELCOME TO THE WAR, ELEVATION 7200 FT

The Wyoming Cowboys travelled to Boise State this week to take on the WAC's Broncos. The Cowboys fell short in their game, going down by a score of 24-14. Offensive struggles and costly penalties doomed the Pokes, but the defense held their ground to keep the game within striking distance. Leading the Cowboys was senior outside linebacker Sean Claffey, who posted 12 tackles and a sack. The offense was led by quarterback Karsten Sween who posted 227 yards passing, with a touchdown and interception. The Cowboy defense neutralized runningback Ian Johnson, limiting him to 23 carries and 83 yards. The defense also kept quarterback Taylor Tharp on the run much of the night, but made Tharp made key throws when they counted and kept the Boise offense moving.

This weekend the Cowboys will travel to Athens, OH for a matchup with the Ohio Bobcats. This will be the first time in history that the Cowboys and Bobcats have met in a game. The Bobcats are fresh off a loss to powerhouse Virginia Tech. A game that the Bobcats kept close for two quarters, but was worn down by the potent Viriginia Tech offense. The Bobcats are led by senior running back Kalvin McRae, who has rushed for 281 yards and 6 scores. The game figures to be a close one, both teams looking to go 3-1 on the year.
