Pokes Play Role as Cardiac Cowboys, Win On the Road WELCOME TO THE WAR, 7200 FEET Another week, another victory for the Wyoming Cowboys. Off to the best start in recent memory, the Cowboys are sitting at 3-1, atop the Mountain West. The Wyoming Cowboys travelled for their first meeting with the Ohio Bobcats and won in a thriller, 34-33. The Cowboys won the game on the legs of Devin Moore who rushed for close to 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Cowboys were led on a final drive behind the arm of Karsten Sween, who threw a touchdown pass with just a couple of minutes to play. Sween, who was ineffective much of the game, showed some poise under pressure to come back and lead the Pokes to a win. Most important for the Cowboys was the running of Devin Moore, who led the team, despite having 7 turnovers. The game has to be a confidence builder for the Cowboys who not only won on the road, but did so in dramatic fashion. The Cowboys are not known for the road victories in the Glenn era, but they cleared a big hurdle this weekend. The Cowboys have this week off before they get read for their showdown with MWC rival TCU in Laramie. TCU is fresh off of a win against SMU, and figures to be a tough opponent for the Pokes, but with a couple of weeks preparation, the team should come out firing on all cylinders, especially with their performance in the non-conference games.
