Re: Is Josh Allen EVER going to make it to the Super Bowl???
Everybody is talking today about "what does it mean that Josh can't get there"...and that is a conversation to have, but part of it is that Mahomes/Reid are a thousand pound gorilla right now. It might just say more about how good the Chiefs are than it does about Allen's failings. The Bi...

Re: Bertagnole is returning!!
I wish the athletic department would do some publicity which would give us better understanding of who the athletes are as persons in addition to their game stats. During the post game interviews almost all of the players have great personalities and seem like really good dudes.

Re: Sawvel's Staff
Peasley ranked 53 out of 106. So, this year was “meh” - not abysmal. Most every other year we have been abysmal. Grant still stinks. Wyoming was 52 out of 130 FBS teams in passing efficiency. From where we were, this was leaps and bounds better. Wyoming's wide outs still had major problems getting ...

Re: Conference musical chairs
Things are changing rapidly in the world of NIL, conference realignment, TV contracts etc. Until the dust settles no one really will know if there will be a PAC #? , changed membership in the MWC ? Or an entirely new structure to college FB?. Wyoming is basically at the mercy of events beyond our co...

Re: Sawvel's Staff
I really hope Sawvel and his new OC are still evaluating and that some more staff changes are coming. If not, I hate the idea of basically keeping the same staff and only changing the nameplates on the 3 biggest jobs.

Re: JA going off
Bills have a lot of concerning injuries to their defense. Josh and the offense (and the home crowd) might have to carry them. Finish the job this time... Tons of injuries. Hopefully they got some guys back, like Rasul Douglas The crowd noise at Arrowhead gives the Chiefs a big advantage. Hopefully ...

Re: Linder = Less
As much as I want Wyoming kids on the roster, we don’t have many of those players in the state It takes a hell of a player to be even role player for any d1 school The most recent on the men side was Hunter Thompson. He was largely developed playing AAU ball as there simply was not not enough compe...

Re: New OC should be announced soon
Looks like we picked up a WR from TT I spoke too soon! We signed Tyler King from Texas Tech. Looks like a Robert Herron type WR. Track star who ran a 10.21 100 in high school. He is 5’9, 180. Literally exact size as Herron. I like the speed but worry that we may be getting an injured prospect. He d...

The play I remember most was against SDSU when Josh threw an INT then made the tackle at the goal line on the return forcing a fumble.

Re: Linder = Less
In my opinion, UW basketball would be well served to start investing more into the development of Wyoming high school basketball. They could start by putting on free coaches clinics for high school basketball coaches across the state. They could also significantly expand their camp program and put ...

NIL what does it take?
Just read where Florida State is being sanctioned over an assistant coach putting a Georgia O lineman in touch with an NIL organizer. Apparently the offer was for $15,000.00 per month. Is there any where you can see what some of these deals are? I read stuff like the Boise QB transfer getting a half...

I am very interested to watch how Sawvel structures the rest of the staff. In particular who stays, who goes and who he brings in.

Re: Success due to coach or team?
Brady and they had a pretty good run in the draft. They also seemed to get a lot of production from budget free agents. Brady was probably the biggest though. Brady in addition to playing ability also was very salary cap friendly at New England. Still he acknowledges that without Belichick he would...

Re: Bowl win shine already worn off?
College football is well on its way to becoming the equivalent of minor league baseball. The main difference is instead of the individual NFL teams having their own farm teams the television networks pick and choose which schools to support.

Re: New OC should be announced soon
He looks like an experienced hire , the kind of steady 2d in command a first year head coach would like to have by his side. I hope that Sawvel knows his own weaknesses and has brought in someone he trusts to help him in those areas. Now lets see how the rest of the staff is either retained or repla...

Re: Future of bowl season?
One thing which is certain is the next few years will bring about more changes in the structure of college sports. In football I agree with others that we will see yet an another super division created out of the biggest and best funded of the P5 schools which will take with them the 12 team playoff...

I forgot about the FCS championship game. Given Sawvel's background those are different possibilities.
By the way Washington's head coach and much of that staff have MW and FCS experience.

Re: Punter?
It is really stunning Wyoming would struggle finding punters. When other teams visit Laramie you can almost feel the joy coming from the other team's punter during warm-ups and their punts travelling higher and further than they ever dreamed.
