Re: Jordan Nesbitt - Do You Agree with the Signing?
I guess Wicks needs to field a team which at least looks competitive, but this was not a good signing

Re: 24-25 Roster
That and I’m also wondering if Linder didn’t line something up at Texas Tech for DeWeese. Linder’s timing can’t be overstated. He f***ed us so hard for next year. Retaining DeWeese probably would have allowed us to field a team next year but I don’t know how we get there now. I suspect we sign a co...

Re: 24-25 Roster
They are no longer student athletes. They are minor league professionals who just happen to be sponsored by a college. I wonder how long it will be before there are some schools specifically designated as farm clubs for a professional team. Heck it seems like half of the NFL Eagles defense is from ...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
Something that might be getting overlooked is how Svboda was recruited. He was like 3rd string on a JUCO team. If he hits, that's some seriously good scouting or just damn lucky. Svoboda was set to attend UW as a preferred walk on out of high school. Then the pandemic hit and he decided to go to Sn...

Re: NIL
This is stupid. At what point is "college" basketball going to directly compete with the NBA? It's just another professional league. Everything unique and beautiful about college athletics is being ruined. Osobor is currently making more than any 2nd round pick in the NBA draft this year ...

Re: UW Block Grant Budget Amendment
IDK, I appreciate the reconciliation that happened with the Black 14 and UW, and I think it's bad what happened to them and the story has sort of a happy ending, but I do get tired of hearing how racist I am all the time just for being a white male that resides in Wyoming. It's been beaten to death...

Re: Time for a New AD??
Burmans continued time as AD will depend entirely on how Sawvel and who he hires to replace Linder work out. Womens sports coaches have all seemed to be pretty solid hires but the real money is in FB and Men's BB.

Re: Linder leaving
This is bad. Linder was touted as some sort of coaching savant when hired and granted an extension. His leaving and taking a step down leads me to believe he saw the writing on the wall and wanted out. Burman knows that his own job would be in doubt if there was another poor season. With new coache...

Re: UDFAs
Peasley is smart, gutsy and tough but is unlikely to be more than a training camp arm at the next level. I do think he would make a great coach and hope that he catches on in some capacity if he intends to make a career in football. I just do not see him as having the playing talent needed.

Re: Arizona Bowl
My wife and enjoyed going to Arizona for last year for the game. Saw some longtime Cowboy fans who I generally do not see at the games in Laramie ( I suspect because they sit on the west side of the War) and the final score turned out right so it was really fun. Still I hope that if Wyoming gets a ...

Re: Football Transfer Portal
Major injury. Impossible or rather meaningless debate. I have to agree with this. He could have torn his ACL at Wyoming and he would be basically in the same position of having to prove himself. Actually worse if he tore it at UW he would not have gotten any NIL money or an offer to transfer to a P...

Re: Is Josh Allen EVER going to make it to the Super Bowl???
Just watched interview with newly drafted receiver Keon Coleman. Gotta love the guy. Seems very likable, intelligent, and a hard worker. Hope he and Josh can make some football magic. I saw it too. Has a lot going for him. Wish Diggs would not have flamed out on the Bills. Coleman is a great replac...

Re: Off-season: collective bargaining
Schools paying athletes is preferable to NIL imo. Interesting question that just popped in my head. What’s preventing nfl teams circumventing salary cap via some kind of NIL poop? I know players can sign endorsements but what’s preventing companies aligned with certain franchises/cities from rollin...

Re: Football Transfer Portal
This is pure speculation, but could be more than just money/football at play with this transfer. Since he has already graduated, maybe he is looking for a specific postgrad program that UW doesn't offer? He is a good football player, but professional football probably isn't in the cards for him. A ...

Re: UDFAs
Probably not given how few G5 players were drafted. He may have had better luck had he transferred to a P5 school. I still think if you’re nfl talent, they’ll find you. It’s not that there’s no talent in the g5, it’s that the most likely pro players already transferred. Gibbs was an excellent playe...
