FOI the Sternberg report. A lot of consistencies over the years.

The last time I was this high on the QB position was 2016/2017.

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
He'll be in nfl mini-camp this time next year. I know it’s the same old ridiculous schtick you’re stuck on. But to be clear there’s a zero percent chance of that. A guy who has had basically one year of playing time in college at a G5 isn’t leaving early for the NFL under any circumstance. There’s ...

Linder released a statement. Pretty vague.

But I agree with you that the University’s silence says a lot about what they felt about Linder’s actions.

Re: 24-25 Roster
Do you even give out scholarships at this point? I can't imagine the portal or unsigned hs kids are deep with talent. I mean you have to field a team but you also know any scholarship you give out now is likely wasted. Maybe anyone with only 1 year eligibility? Tough spot.

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
That sounds like a classic Wyoming recruit. Not a big time recruit, but with the potential to develop over a couple of seasons He is. But any success he might have is now a double edged sword. The bummer being that if he has a good season with flashes of his elite athleticism, it’s pretty impossibl...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
So like I said we're not at risk and have not been at risk for a money offer poaching. For literally every player, other than those playing their final year of eligibility, their NIL value can change at the end of next season. We're not at risk because he was named starter. The competition this spr...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
Not buying that take. Had any of those made a back channel offer with big NIL he would have been gone. How come that acronym you use makes me think of a sandwich? It’s been his long running attempt to be sarcastic as to Sawvel’s naming of Svoboda as starter following Sawvel’s promotion to head coac...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
Something that might be getting overlooked is how Svboda was recruited. He was like 3rd string on a JUCO team. If he hits, that's some seriously good scouting or just damn lucky. Despite his impressive total of 28 yards passing in JUCO ball, to be fair Wyoming scouted Svoboda out of high school. Th...

You mean when he hits and is drafted top 10, again (looking at you JA), firmly cementing WYO as QB U.

Honestly, no idea how this will work. Regardless of HC hire, it probably should be a 4 year commitment barring any major scandals, personnel issues, etc.
I respect the man for attempting the job. Arguably one of the toughest jobs in the country right now.

Re: NIL
If I'm not mistaken, our athletic department is already heavily subsidized by taxpayers and student fees at a greater percentage of the budget than our peers. I need to get time to put the real numbers to that statement. However, if true, it shows that fan contributions to NIL isn't likely since the...

Re: Time for a New AD??
This thread is wild. Aside from Burman retiring, I’d say the notion of firing him is downright lunacy. Bohl will be looked at as a great hire. Linder was a good hire too. We made the tournament and all the talk was about keeping him. Sure it ended badly but so does 99% of hires. A few retire on the...

Re: Time for a New AD??
Burmans continued time as AD will depend entirely on how Sawvel and who he hires to replace Linder work out. Womens sports coaches have all seemed to be pretty solid hires but the real money is in FB and Men's BB. We said that about DC, Bohl, Linder, Edwards, Schroyer, etc. etc. If some of those pr...

Peasley is smart, gutsy and tough but is unlikely to be more than a training camp arm at the next level. I do think he would make a great coach and hope that he catches on in some capacity if he intends to make a career in football. I just do not see him as having the playing talent needed. Tough k...
