Re: BB transfer portal is open
Was hoping he would land at Texas, or Texas A&M (or even Houston). TCU? Big meh. TCU is in the Big 12 which is probably the deepest basketball conference. Most people would say he is making a significant jump from Wyoming to there. Don't forget they made the NCAA Tournament this year too.

Re: MW is flaming out……
Utah State looked great against TCU (was at the game in Indy). Purdue looks like a team on a mission.

From what I read, he thought he'd play as a freshman here and didn't.

Re: Trending in the Wrong Direction
Take a look at the state I live in now...Oklahoma. It's #25  Sounds about right. People are always surprised that California ranks #19 (top half). Prop 13 makes a big difference. I pay 50% more property tax for my empty land estimated sales price at 50% of what my house in Irvine is estimated...

Re: Semi-OT:long distance Amtrak
Passenger rail in the west died in the 1970's for a reason. And nothing has really changed. It's why Amtrak only exists with massive government subsidy. - Cars are cheaper and faster - Planes are about the same price and much faster - The rail lines are built for freight and suck to travel on over ...

Re: Fresno St @ MWC tourney
Poor free throw shooting, bad defense, turnovers, and scoring droughts. We hit the quadrafecta of how to lose a basketball game.

Re: UW Block Grant Budget Amendment
Plenty of passion here. Unfortunately, education of topics that are uncomfortable to people resistant to change will always be perceived as "liberal." That word has is roots in liberalism: "A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual...

Re: Semi-OT:long distance Amtrak
Not only Cheyenne. I wish they had buses for people from other cities and towns as well . I would think that not having to drive to/from the game would be something some fans would appreciate. At very least the major population centers that are not too far flung. Cheyenne, Casper, Rock Springs, and...

Re: Border War, down there
To break this down, there are 200 available minutes in a regulation game. We are returning at most 33% or 1/3. In the portal era, I think you plan on bringing in 1/3 of your minutes every year and hope the underclassmen on the bench step up to fill in the difference. Playing time will increase as w...

I saw a team with potential. Need to cut down turnovers and make open shots. If we can keep the youngsters, we will compete next year.

The UWAA wants to make Homecoming the last game in Sept. So it will either be AFA or SDSU.

The roster has 10 undergrads. Admittedly, most don't see time this year.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 12:34 pm A total of 3 players who will theoretically be returning next year entered the game (Manyawu, Powell, Combs). One starter (Powell).

I was impressed by the change from the Boise State game. I think we've pulled some upsets, so teams take us seriously. We just need to grow the young players and bulk up and compete.

Re: UW Block Grant Budget Amendment
Either way, if you agree or not, there is a growing sentiment that Universities are only for people of a certain political ideology. This action and future actions by the legislature won't change that trend. Enrollment for those disenfranchised with the university will likely continue to decline. U...

Re: UW Block Grant Budget Amendment
You need to turn off the TV, or AM radio, or wherever you’re getting this ridiculous idea that UW is indoctrinating students. Maybe quit listening to our poop politicians that are espousing that nonsense as well. What a stupid take on the situation. As someone that graduated from UW in the past ten...
