Re: Vander Waal and Cox

I will always be grateful to Vander Waal for pulling out the last second win against Wofford in 2018. Certainly didn't need a 3rd FCS loss in 8 seasons. And that comeback against Air Force was one for the ages! But Cox left during the middle of the season rather than to simply stick it out, work ha...

Vander Waal and Cox

Has anyone been following some of our former players? I realize it's a different level of football, but the Big Sky and Missouri Valley conferences are no joke. Vander Waal is putting up some eye opening passing numbers, and Avante Cox is racking up the receiving yards. Not sure there is much to inf...

Re: Tim Polasek

Seems kinda ''meh'', almost like nothing is going to change. If you feel this is a great hire why do you feel that way? Considering the Ringolsby candidate from the MAC, and the very real possibility of yet another FCS hire, I'd call a B1G hire pretty solid. He coached an o-line that helped produce...

Re: Tim Polasek

The speed of this hire tells me that this has been in the works. Given Polasek's NSDSU background and experience with TE, FB and OL groups in his career, the hire makes a ton of sense. Sure seems like it. He's supposedly making $325K at Iowa, so he's likely taking a pay cut to come here. I wonder i...

Re: Tim Albin, associate head coach and o.c. at Ohio is a name to watch(thanks Tracy)

I would be shocked if Bohl didn't already have a short list of candidates to interview. He knew that Vigen was kicking the tires in Bozeman. I'm pretty sure Bohl has mentioned in the past that he keeps a list of names to call in a pinch. His tree isn't small, so I'm sure the phones have been warm t...

Re: Tim Albin, associate head coach and o.c. at Ohio is a name to watch(thanks Tracy)

I'm liking the sound of Albin. It really seems like he adapts based on the offensive talent he has. Some years he's racking up passing yards and others it looks like a dominant rushing attack. But overall, he seems fairly balanced. Bohl obviously has the connection to Albin, but would he poach his ...

Re: Bouknight is the wide receivers coach at Kentucky....

I would kill to have Bouknight come back to the alma mater. I think he's way too spread oriented for Bohl's liking. He's been with Matt Wells at USU and then Oregon which were both full on spread/hurry-up. Although, it looks like Kentucky runs a very similar offense to Vigen...including statistical ...

New Offensive Coordinator

So, now that it appears Vigen is moving on. Any idea on who will be picked to fill the role? Will he tap back in the NDSU pipeline?

Agreed, but there has to be someone at the FCS level that is willing to make the jump and double or triple their salary. Can we tap back into the NDSU pipeline (although the O Line coach was a failure)?

It looks like the Vigen era is over. Now don't screw this hire up Bohl...we need to hit this out of the park

Re: Vigen to .... Montana State?

Apparently Vigen to MSU is picking up again. He was on the MSU campus in "recent days." Please, please take him! The Cats coaching search is a disaster.. seems like they've been turned down at every stop so far. Kind of amazing. Yeah it is. Seems like a new name pops up every couple of da...

Re: Vigen to .... Montana State?

Please football gods let this work out! It's pretty interesting that Vigen ($400k or maybe $450k/yr) and Matt Lubik ($500k/yr) would take that big of a salary decrease to become a head coach. As mentioned, Bozeman is not a cheap place to live; average listing price is nearly $700k. Wonder if MSU is ...

Re: Revamp Offense?

That's a great question, and I wish Potter would have gotten Bohl to elaborate instead of just sending a relatively cryptic tweet. My guess is that Bohl has finally became aware that the offense is what is keeping this team from the next level, and he's truly looking at changing the playbook. I woul...

Re: Dontae Crow Transferring

Wish him all the best as a Wyoming kid. Became clear that he was not a Division I level receiver unfortunately. Showed how bare the cupboard was at that position Not sure I agree with that. A bit inconsistent as a punt returner, yeah. But its hard to really pin much on the WRs without looking at th...

Re: Dontae Crow Transferring

https://twitter.com/BlitzCfb/status/1343686746664546305 1. If you were a receiver, what are the benefits of playing in this offense and under Vigen/Grant? 2. I'm not a big fan of Crow. I thought he was in a starting role mainly due to seniority. He cost us many times on punt returns. He didn't seem...

Josh Allen is undefeated versus the State of Colorado. He owns that state!

Re: Transfer Thread

You sound like Bohl putting the losses on the D instead of the offensive ineptitude. You're also not good at math. The D gave up 27 points to CSU. 7 of the 27 came after a turnover by our stellar offense deep in our own territory. They gave up 31 to Nevada in regulation. They had a rough go against ...
