Re: 2020 schedule
Utah should give a good snapshot regarding the level of competitiveness now vs teams of old. It's one thing playing a bunch of current MWC also rans but Utah was a pretty solid top MWC team in the heyday. I'm not sure they are quite as good as they were but should be decent and perhaps a little dee...

Re: Edwards Dismissed
Also wasn't a fan of bringing in Miles. He might have had a high floor but not a high ceiling. He was good not great at CSU. I like the UNC guy or the NMSU guy. I hope we find some money and do this right. If we half ass it we will be back here again in a couple years. Maybe find a bigger name that ...

Re: Keep this team together!
I have been harder on Edwards than anyone, for the last 2 or 3 years I have been saying to fire him. With that said this Wyoming team did improve the last 3rd of the season. No they didn’t win a lot of games but they had a few games that they could have won and blew it in the last few minutes. They...

Re: Matching Funds for West Side War and Pool
The conference meets are done, and Our Cowgirls placed 3rd in the MWC behind SDSU and UNLV. Looking at the results, it seems we have focused in a some smart areas for a smaller team (distance, relays, diving), and that paid off. Our Cowboys were 4th in the WAC, behind two MWC schools (AFA and UNLV)...

Re: Ready to be a P5 farm league?
This really doesn't change much. Players have always come in played a year showed what the ycan do and transfer somewhere else. See Josh Doctson. Sure they had to sit out a year but I don't think that is a big deterant if they are just looking to move on to bigger things. Plus lately they have been ...

Re: How "screwed" should we really feel?
Was wondering to post this here or in the MSU/CU related thread. Having good coaches poached is the nature of college football. Mid to low level "P5" teams face it with their head coaches as well, and even sometimes though more rarely a top tier program will get a head coach head hunted b...

Re: Something to think about
If Bohl leaves for CU, guess what worst case situation will happen: Bohl will recommend Vigen take over head coach for the Pokes, and Burman, being a lazy ass, will say fine. Not I bleive any of this Bohl leaving for CU stuff. I think its kinda silly to worry about until legitimate rumors come out....

Re: Cowboys back to Austin 2023
I believe both the Cowboys and MN Gophers have open dates for 2026 and 2027. Would be great to get a home and home with those two schools. Gophers already schedule MWC teams fairly frequently. Agree. Minnesota is a lower tier P5 that would probably be amenable to a home and home as anyone Minnesota...

Re: What do you think about the CBS Report before the bowl game
The incident should never be buried. Not for the reasons why the 14 wanted to protest, nor Eaton's racist policies. It took 50 years to begin re-building bridges to the guys that were thrown off the team. Was Eaton a good football coach and recruiter? Yes. That doesn't make him a good person though...

Re: The Great Debate Begins: Williams or Chambers?
If Williams does start, then we NEED to find a way to keep Chambers on the field and in a leadership role. Tight end Tight end would be an extreme waste of Sean's talents. He's not a blocker, so he wouldn't be on the field a lot, and best case scenario he would only touch the ball 5-6 times a game....

Re: Vander Waal in the transfer portal
We do need him for our bowl game though. Hopefully, he can still be available. I normally have insight but don't on this. However, I think there is ZERO chance he plays in Tucson. Knowing Bohl the way I do I also think there is zero chance he even makes the trip. I've been wrong before but this wou...

Re: Vigen has to go
Additionally making the conclusion that because TVW and Chambers have low completion percentages must mean they don’t get coaching is silly and lacking in logic. Have you watched them throw the ball? Both of them were fairly accurate high school passers , yet they can't complete even the short thro...
