Re: NIL what does it take?
If your comment about Entitled little $hits can go to hell. is about the NCAA, conference and university leadership, or broadcast and media entities.... Then I agree wholeheartedly. If you are aiming that at the athletes, you need to reconsider. They didn't create this mess and outside of the power...

Re: Linder got tossed.
Spot on. Rice is the worst. For those of you who went to the game Saturday, hopefully you watched as I did, when Leon started working the refs on the very first Donkie call. That guy is a master at MWC ref manipulation. He was even "warned" to chill on several occasions but never got the ...

Re: Boyzee
But you clearly want to. You revel in every loss. Your agenda is obvious. You find things to bitch about in every win. I'm no making excuses for him. I've clearly pointed out that he's made mistakes and has plenty of things to work on. Calling out fans for lack of attendance is bad form and I don't...

Re: NIL what does it take?
When student athletes become employees of the university with unlimited transfers and thousands if not millions in NIL money I will no longer be interested. Entitled little $hits can go to hell. Re: Playoff negotiations
the sec and big 10 need to take the top teams from the ACC and Big 12 and go do their own thing. there's already a split in the FBS, just make it official and let us get back to the actual college football and they can have the nfl minor league I agree. I wonder why they haven't done it already? It...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
I have never put much stock in comparing coaches at UW. So I try not to do it. I do put a lot of stock in an individual coach's record. As the old adage says, you are what your record says you are. Bohl has a career 61-60 record. He was and always will be a mediocre coach to me. Great coaches win c...

Re: What do you guys think of Burman?
I am not one who has strong feelings about Burman but I've examined that lately. It seems like most people view him as mediocre with a small contingent that think he's bad and an even smaller contingent that view him positively. One of the criticisms of him is the fact that Wyoming's athletic progra...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
hehe...excellent characterisation of most of the discussions on here :P. The change to the division format may have some effect...though it should go against the teams that had to play BSU every year.... Anyways...again...I'm trying not to make a sweeping conclusion except to say that Boh'ls succes...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
Looks like I missed some stuff with the number of conference games too. But honestly, there’s still so many changing variables that I don’t think affected all teams equally, especially in Bohls tenure. Divisions, no divisions, teams not playing the same suite of teams as those teams they are being ...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
Got bored, and got started looking at the total percentage of our conference win's that came against AF, CSU, NM, SDSU, and UNLV from 03 to 23. Learned a few things, but that’s it. Lots of confounding things I would have to think about a lot more to draw any conclusions. Thought it would be simple....

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
If you want to make that claim, you are free to do so. My previous response stands. I'm just trying to follow your logic? Your analysis applied to dc would mean he's 1 of the better coaches. The context of my "logic" applies within it's context. Not outside of it. I tried to explain where...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
I what to be careful so I don't get misunderstood. Your question is (paraphrased), "was DC a good coach?".... If my options are yes/no then I would say no. It would be a misunderstanding to think I'm saying he's terrible though. The back and forth that we have had previously does not exte...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
So, 307, then dc was a good coach? Analyzing conference wins fire first 5 years, he's similar to Bohl. I what to be careful so I don't get misunderstood. Your question is (paraphrased), "was DC a good coach?".... If my options are yes/no then I would say no. It would be a misunderstanding...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
307, I can’t follow your logic past this point. You keep going back to this idea “If the jump in conference wins per year were due, in the main, to a weaker conference.... All or most of the teams in common from both eras would have experienced an increase in conference wins similar to what Wyoming...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
I apologize for being pedantic...but saying Bohl "kept" us out of the cellar implies that we were not in it when he took over...I would definitely call the team that had won the second least conference games (one more victory than UNLV) over the previous three coaches tenure, a cellar-dwe...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
*sigh*...do you just not see the text that I write when I observe that the conference strength has slipped? I accept that it's not irrational to think that playing somewhat worse teams in conference should contribute to more wins in conference. Do I need to write that twice? here goes...maybe it wi...

Re: Craig Bohl's Legacy
I've looked at the conference strength stuff just like everybody else...I'm a Wyoming football fan that cares about that stuff. The difference in conferences between The first 12-15 years of this century and since then, is that the six teams that are still in the conference from the earlier time pe...

Re: What do you guys think of Burman?
I don't think the people that rated him higher are looking to the AD to deliver conference championships. I did not rate him that high but I also don't look to him to deliver titles. I've long believed that the function of a collegiate AD has more to do with high attendance in revenue sports and ut...
