Re: Future of bowl season?
I think they should do a NIT tournament like basketball. If you had another 16 teams in a lower tournament then that could be played at some of the bowl locations and still get some interest. It would be similar to basketball. You could then get rid of some of the bowls that don't garner interest l...

Re: Nice conference start
Good win for us. I know going forward it will be tough to get wins with our team this year. The MWC is pretty loaded with good teams this year. Will be good competition for the team though to have for next year. The MWC is brutal. I'm thinking we'll win maybe half of our conference games and maybe ...

Re: Who's your favorite WYO QB ever?
The first 2 on that list are spot on. Craig Burnett is an often forgotten great qb. Welniak was a great dual threat. Just in terms of wow factor, it has to be JA. He made throws that no other Wyo. qb could make. And his speed was just incredible for his size. Brett Smith has to be up there somewher...

Re: Bohl retiring?
We haven't had a losing season since 2015 (excluding the 6 game covid year). So that in itself is quite an achievement. It's been rehashed a million times on this board about what Bohl didn't accomplish. He didn't seem particularly happy after the game. It made me wonder if he really wanted to retir...

Re: Toledo game thread
Defense did a pretty good job today. Outside of the misses on the 80 yd run they only gave up 2 field goals. Got off the field on 3rd down (4-13) and there was nearly 18 minute difference in ToP. I think only 1 sack but pressures resulted in some poor throws and missed timing They did play pretty d...

Re: We're back in the Arizona Bowl
Sadly, I bought my tickets through UW website. My tickets are in the endzone. I'm guessing I could have bought better tickets and cheaper through another venue.
Plus, I'm spending 75 dollars on the CJC tailgate party. I guess if I get drunk enough, it won't matter where I'm sitting.

Here's the story on the sheep qb. Have no idea if the source is credible. But the number is insane.

Re: Svboda named starting QB for next year
How about a good old fashioned competition? A lot can change in a year’s time Ordinarily, I'd agree with you. But with NIL, the rules are different. I've heard the csewe qb has received a mid 6 figure NIL offer. It's hard to believe. But, we are going to have to adjust to this free agency type atmo...

Re: Weber State
A total of 8 points from our 2 inside players. 6 points from the bench. I think the team has regressed from early in the year. That, or the competition is getting better. I can't tell. Unless Mason Walters is the second coming of Larry Bird, this season looks like a real disaster. We don't have enou...

Re: Jay Sawvel named head coach
I'm very disappointed in this hire. First, was Sawvel on anyone's list to be hired away as a head coach or DC anywhere else? So what was the hurry? Secondly, we've rehashed this many times. But the defense wasn't all that great this year and the offense needs a complete make over. Our offense was 11...

Re: We're back in the Arizona Bowl
We are 2 point underdogs in the Arizona bowl. Assuming everyone on our side plays, I will be betting us in this game. We were down to our 5th string running back last year and still damn near won.
MAC is not a very impressive conference.

Re: MW All 25 Season Teams
I looked at the MWC website and it says selections were made by the "Mountain West 25th Season Committee". It says that committee is made up of "members" from all 11 full-time institutions, but does not list any names. I would not have put Josh Allen on that list. Josh has a lot...

Re: I feel for Nevada
I assume most of the posters on this board have competed at some sport in the past or currently. Maybe you make a big change in your golf swing to improve. Whatever. There comes a point when you know where you are isn't going to get better without a big change. That's where we are. We tied for 4th ...

Re: I feel for Nevada
I have been a very strong proponent of moving on from Bohl - especially following the debacles against UNLV, Boize, and AFA. The field goal attempt in the 4th quarter against UNLV was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It typified the Bohl experience. I think that we can be lulled back i...

Re: Extend Bohl!
As usual, we beat up the bad teams and even beat the mediocre teams. But I don't want to extend Bohl unless it's for decorative purposes only. Ten years and not one conference championship and only 1 appearance in a conference championship game. It's never going to happen with him. Let him have 1 la...

Re: Wouldn’t it be great to see BYU sit at home
On an even happier note: It looks like the sheep are going down to Hawaii. I took Hawaii on the money line and a loss means csewe will not be bowl eligible. It doesn't get much better than this. I had made a side bet with coworker that Colorado would win <5 games before I took Colorado Over 3.5 at ...
