Re: Boise State firing Avalos today.
You can't really compare the Iowa situation. They have one of the best defenses in all of college football and are in the Big Ten west which is a poop show this year. Even with all that, they are extremely lucky to have as many wins as they do. Wyoming's offense is hands-down better than Iowa's.

Re: Why didn't Waylee play in first quarter?
In the past Bohl has played favorites at times with players, especially key players. For Waylee to get a quarter suspension, he probably did something legit to deserve it.

Re: Road Woes
Not only has he kicked indoors before, but this won't even be Hoyland's first game at Allegiant Stadium. In 2020 he was 1/1 FG and 6/6 on PATs.

Re: CSewe game thread
It started when they submarined our linemen on a kneel down play. Bush league. This. On the kneel down, csu went low on Crum. Frank being Frank, he shoved the guy on his ass and got the first flag. Justified shove, justified flag IMO. THEN some dumbass (Wyo #2) runs in off the bench without a helme...

Re: We Deserve Better
Jim Leonhard would be a huge get for a program like Wyoming. Although, he could likely make more as a DC next year than Wyo would pay a HC. His defenses at Wisconsin were strong, although his offense would likely be similar (in scheme) to what Bohl runs now.

Hate to say it, but I absolutely expected a UW loss yesterday. Just had a bad feeling. But certainly didn't expect it to be that bad.

They can't, you can only have 11 coaches on the staff. Very few, if any, D1 programs have a devoted ST coordinator.ReecesRiver wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 11:38 am Oh absolutely. It’s time to add a special teams coach to our roster.

Re: Why are public schools scared of vouchers?
Talk about great examples for justification of vouchers and the real world scenarios of what the liberal left wants to indoctrinate kids with. Straight from the horse's mouth. Am I the horse? Because I'm not sure what I said that has anything to do with vouchers. I think I've made very cogent point...

Re: Why are public schools scared of vouchers?
Got it. You agree with promoting se.x.ua. lity to elementary kids and allowing males to beat females in women's sports. We fundamentally disagree. Only EQUAL s.e.xu.ality. If it is ok to have books talking about hetero.se.x.ual relationships then I'm sure you would agree that there is no problem wi...

Re: Why are public schools scared of vouchers?
Don't watch MSNBC, don't watch Fox or CNN either. Get my news from a variety of sources. 1) I don't have a problem with graphic stuff being removed from children's sections or elementary schools. 2) The vast majority of stuff that is being petitioned to be removed isn't grossly graphic, it's books ...

Re: Boise St game thread
Who coaches special teams ? Bohl's kid? Benny Boyd and Shannon Moore. Both also are position coaches. We don't have a dedicated special teams coordinator. Might be part of the problem. Most college teams do not have a special teams coordinator. You can only have 11 total coaches so most schools hav...

Re: Why are public schools scared of vouchers?
Wow, for a conservative to actually think and say this is the definition of a lack of self awareness. Not saying that Democrats don't have some issues with this, but Republicans are magnitudes worse today in regards to being afraid of opposing views in education. Yeah, it's conservatives forcing me...

Re: Why are public schools scared of vouchers?
If you want alternatives to public education you pay for it, just like you have to pay to send your kids to a second opinion if you don't like what one doctor had to say. It looks to me like the education cartel is scared of competition or democrats are scared of kids getting opposing views. Wow, f...

The dome would not be just for football though. You can have a lot of different type of events there that can bring money to the university and the city of Laramie. I do not think it will ever happen, but it's good to be ambitious instead of reacting and always trying to keep up. Laramie and Wyomin...

Doesn't matter who the coach is, the people at WR aren't that good. Marquez and Wieland are good guys, but they have no business being starters on an FBS team.

I am pleased by the fact that neither of these teams are that good. Oregon will destroy CU next week. CSU may be improved but they aren't there yet. I like Norvell, he's a good dude, sad he's a ram now.

Re: Turf and injuries?
Specific to football, non-contact injuries are about 25-30% more common on artificial turf compared to natural grass. There doesn't seem to be a significant difference in contact related injuries between the two surfaces. This makes the renewed complaints about artificial turf after the Rogers inju...

Hoyland!
Nice 57 yard FG.
I had to look this up: the UW record is 62 yards from 1977.
