Re: Home Opener vs. Montana State

AMEN to jessejames02! 38 wins and 44 losses ... at a million per year. Helluva bargain! If you look at it in a vacuum, sure. However, 18 of those losses came in the first 2 years. Obviously those 2 years were a disaster. Since then, he has been 8-6, 8-5, 6-6, 8-5 and the disaster last year of 2-4. ...

Re: Sean Chambers named starting QB

Depth chart! Man, feels like it wasn't that long ago half our O-line was 280 or lighter. Now it's a single player under 300. Also surprised at Crall being so light - he seems like a way bigger dude than 239. My main concern with this roster is how many seniors there are. Will we even have a team wi...

Re: Home Opener vs. Montana State

Bohl has always struggled early in the season (except mizzou), and against FCS teams. I’m bracing for more of the same, but hopefully the return of key players from opt outs, return from injuries, and Polasek are enough to finally beat a team handily early in the season like they should. I’m hoping ...

We were at 8100 in early- to mid-July. Maybe close to 9k at this point?

Re: Home Opener vs. Montana State

What are the Cats strengths/weaknesses? From the brief reading I did when Vigen was moving, was that they were a power run type of team. Our D front and Muma will eat that up. Can our O line dominate early and get the run game going? If that happens, it’s game over. I expect Polasek to utilize the P...

https://twitter.com/wyo_football/status/1425981732566671364?s=21 Already at 20k, with 3+ weeks to go. I’m thinking 27k-ish. Great crowd for FCS competition…if it happens. And here we go with the politics, probably one of the reasons traffic is slow on this board anymore. Take that poop to Twitter or...

Re: Name you don't know but will...

Obviously Neyor figures to be a key cog in this "re-engineered" offense. However, I'm hopeful everyone will know Josh Cobbs and Alex Brown after the season. Cobbs got a few touches last year, but I think he fumbled on one and that quickly put him in the doghouse. Cobbs has a lot of talent....

Re: Depth Chart Released

I'm pretty sure Marcotte called it quits . O'Brien is a JUCO guy from last year. He's on scholarship and saw the field a little bit last year. Hopefully, he sees it a lot more this year with the new offense. Sorry, I think he's still on the team. He didn't play this Spring as he is rehabbing an inj...

Also, I've never heard of the backup TE, O'Brien. Is he scholarship or walk on? What happened to Jackson Marcotte? I'm pretty sure Marcotte called it quits . O'Brien is a JUCO guy from last year. Re: Vander Waal and Cox

I will always be grateful to Vander Waal for pulling out the last second win against Wofford in 2018. Certainly didn't need a 3rd FCS loss in 8 seasons. And that comeback against Air Force was one for the ages! But Cox left during the middle of the season rather than to simply stick it out, work ha...

Vander Waal and Cox

Has anyone been following some of our former players? I realize it's a different level of football, but the Big Sky and Missouri Valley conferences are no joke. Vander Waal is putting up some eye opening passing numbers, and Avante Cox is racking up the receiving yards. Not sure there is much to inf...

Re: Tim Polasek

Seems kinda ''meh'', almost like nothing is going to change. If you feel this is a great hire why do you feel that way? Considering the Ringolsby candidate from the MAC, and the very real possibility of yet another FCS hire, I'd call a B1G hire pretty solid. He coached an o-line that helped produce...

Re: Tim Polasek

The speed of this hire tells me that this has been in the works. Given Polasek's NSDSU background and experience with TE, FB and OL groups in his career, the hire makes a ton of sense. Sure seems like it. He's supposedly making $325K at Iowa, so he's likely taking a pay cut to come here. I wonder i...

Re: Tim Albin, associate head coach and o.c. at Ohio is a name to watch(thanks Tracy)

I would be shocked if Bohl didn't already have a short list of candidates to interview. He knew that Vigen was kicking the tires in Bozeman. I'm pretty sure Bohl has mentioned in the past that he keeps a list of names to call in a pinch. His tree isn't small, so I'm sure the phones have been warm t...

Re: Tim Albin, associate head coach and o.c. at Ohio is a name to watch(thanks Tracy)

I'm liking the sound of Albin. It really seems like he adapts based on the offensive talent he has. Some years he's racking up passing yards and others it looks like a dominant rushing attack. But overall, he seems fairly balanced. Bohl obviously has the connection to Albin, but would he poach his ...

Re: Bouknight is the wide receivers coach at Kentucky....

I would kill to have Bouknight come back to the alma mater. I think he's way too spread oriented for Bohl's liking. He's been with Matt Wells at USU and then Oregon which were both full on spread/hurry-up. Although, it looks like Kentucky runs a very similar offense to Vigen...including statistical ...

New Offensive Coordinator

So, now that it appears Vigen is moving on. Any idea on who will be picked to fill the role? Will he tap back in the NDSU pipeline?

Agreed, but there has to be someone at the FCS level that is willing to make the jump and double or triple their salary. Can we tap back into the NDSU pipeline (although the O Line coach was a failure)?
